Dubloons LOST. Reaper's Run fears are coming true. Hazelnutbeard ERROR!

    Yes, I expect to be ganked for my treasure and interrupted by an attacking pirate when I try to dig up my chests. But the other fear I had is now coming true.

    Disconnects from the server.

    As I had finished Chapter 1 of the Reaper's Run of Wander's Refuge and done the bribery method to keep a galleon from killing me & my solo sloop, and successfully hid some treasure I was able to go back for...... my sloop flies into the sky with me on it. A clear sign that I was about to disconnect.... and I did.

    Hazelnutbeard was the error that came up as a cause. Then when I tried to get back in it is now showing a Cinnamonbeard error.

    I had only 28 dubloons to spend on this to do 5 reaper runs quests. I am down to 18 now. I cannot afford these disconnects with my limited money count for a LIMITED TIME event. Everything else I had a strategy for, but I have NO control over disconnects that are not on my end (I'm playing during the time people are at work/school and I'm using a physical LAN cable to Xbox).

    RARE please consider again making these quests NOT require dubloons. If you want unlocks like sails to cost dubloons as normally do fine. But the purchase of these repeatable quests costing a limited resource that can be impacted by network errors is just inviting aggravation from your community!

    We'd suggest sending a report over via Support
    to let the teams know and see if there is anything which might be done to help you out, as this loss was due to an error.

I assume he must be close kin to my mortal enemy, the most bloodthirsty swashbuckler of the Seven Seas known as Allmondbeard. Be they different names for the same error, or is this a new game-ending foe to be on the lookout for?

    Aye, they are very good at trying to rectify the issue, back in the gilded era, there were multiple "refunds" of the voyages due to disconnects.

    Just got back in. Looks like my dubloons were already refunded? I am back up to 23.

    Either it was support or RARE has a system in place. Either way I am happy.

    @lucky-13-x I hope support help you out with this man. This happened to me when I solo'd an Athena.

    If your Xbox is connected via wireless this may be the issue. All it takes is the slight hitch of connection and you lose your connection. I've found this out quite often with Microsoft releases

    @lucky-13-x hazelnutbeard is in fact a disconnection problem.
    But I'm pretty sure this isn't the game's fault. Maybe your internet provider, or your router is the one to blame?!

    The SoT servers are in great shape nowadays, I didnt face a single error in months.

    You should consider not to play this types of quests alone, in a way you're able to join your crewmate if you'd have an error.

    Yeah this game hates people who act like humans, like going to the bathroom or getting food to sustain yourself. ;-)

    @lucky-13-x Just get a rubber-band and strap it on your joystick. It works great! Just ask any of the many afk leeches in this game.

    Looks like I suck at math. I only bought one mission which means 28 - 5 = 23. So i am still owed 5 dubloons. i may have been thinking of another fantasy realm where..... redacted.
