Microphone not working Windows 10. Please help

    I've been trying to get my microphone to work in this game for 6 hours now and had no luck. It works in every single other game, I can hear my voice in my headphones, I can hear other players on my team and other teams, other players cannot hear me at all.     I've tried what's suggested there in that linkcountless times, nothing works.
    I'm using a Corsair HS60 headset, works flawlessly on PS4 and all other PC games. I have allowed sea of thieves to access my microphone too. I've been toggling push to talk, directional etc, nothing works.
    Not sure what else to try.
    I really, really want to buy the game, but I'm not going to do so if I can't talk to anyone.
    Has anyone ran into this problem? Any ideas?

    @thesimonboulter This happens to me from time to time but never for 6 hours straight. Eventually my mic just starts working again, so probably not the same issue, sorry :(

    Cheers xCALYPTOx, I've just tested it on various other games, and it works perfectly both on PC and PS4. There must be some explanation, probably something simple in the settings, I just can't find out what!

    @thesimonboulter Silly question, do you happen to have Push To Talk enabled? It is the ALT key I believe while playing. Maybe change that to voice always on or a different keybinding?

    @nightmare247365 Hi dude, I have toggled Push to talk on and off and tried both over and over again for the last 6 hours. I've tried voice always on and push to talk, and tried using a different key to push to talk. No luck so far sadly.

    @thesimonboulter Have you tried an Xbox Party System? If you have any friends on to try and see if you can communicate that way? Also try rebooting your PC. and lastly try checking your audio drivers are updated. I run with a Steelseries wireless headset and don't seem to have much issue until my default headset changed on me in Windows. Hopefully my suggestions help.

    @thesimonboulter There have been some reports that antivirus software can block audio, Kasperksy in particular.

    Did you check your NAT setting in the Xbox app?

    @thesimonboulter my brother is having the same problem with xbox we have to be in party or he can't here anyone else. I have to use the xbox app and make a party for him to hear me or anyone else. Red line through it otherwise. Any ideas anyone?

    @sanni @thesimonboulter This was not a suggestion I had seen here on this thread before but someone in another host or on Reddit had suggested this. I bet you are currently double NAT and that maybe causing your issue.

    Check your PC's privacy settings and allow other apps to use your microphone if it's not.
