Bahahah.
For years we've been seeing this community defend Rare.. and defend all their bad decisions.
All you pirates here poking fun at new players telling others to 'play another game' 'this game isn't for you'... its 'PvEvP'.
Annd thats going away.
This is just hilarious. Rare betrayed your loyalty and now you gotta face it.
Do you ever have anything positive to say? Almost every post of yours seems to be negative. Make no mistake, the game is not perfect. But in my opinion it’s still a very good game. Rare owes us nothing at all, and yet we still get free content (albeit with optional purchases) over the past five years.
Ive said many positive things many years ago. Ive made many posts and commented positively many times to other ideas on how to make the 'shared' world experience better in the open sandbox.
And people like you that lurk the forums have been defending Rare far too long. Even now you can't even tell us how you really feel. You hate it. You need some 'telemetry' data now to have but for years you and the others here have been so negative to so many people without such data. The only thing you fell back on was 'its PvEvP'.
You all cried no to PvE servers. And Rare finally did it and spat in your faces. Your loyalty means nothing to them.
I'll say it. I don't like the change at all. But I saw the writing on the wall years ago. And now with player numbers down, slow roll-out, Rare are betting to try to get the new players that have tried coming here asking for PvE only servers.. And they got it. Plain and simple.
The game has always been made for new players. Not for veterans like you and me. Our Insider input is not taken into any design/concept considerations. Nothing.
Rare even abandoned their own IP with Flameheart trying to attach on their content to POTC and now Monkey Island (and whether its good content or not isn't relevant to my point here).
If you no longer like the game, you’re free to walk away from it. Trying to influence everyone else to do the same just to prove that you’re right reeks of pettiness in my opinion. And I’ll be leaving it at that so the conversation doesn’t get derailed any further.
It’s fine to raise concerns you have about the game, but patronising the player base is not the way to be heard. Rare are not obliged to listen to us, but often you’ll find that they do. They’re only human - they can’t do everything all at once.
