So, we've received a nerf of commodities' base values. I understand, that there were some people that could earn millions of gold in just a few hours. But lets change the perspective...
Imagine me, a simple man, I have only 2-3 hours per day to play the game. I couldn't earn much gold with these time limitations. But Season 2 introduced new trade routes mechanic which allowed me to earn some reasonable amount of gold during my play session. I thought: "finally I can catch-up my friends that have full set of dark adventures and I do not". But making a full circle through all the outposts, on a brig, acting hostile with literally every ship near an outpost, I could make 0.5kk per 1.5-2 hours.
Then this nerf comes in. I ask myself: "why?"
And after that I read some dramas where one could be able to unite 5-6 galleons in an alliance via a discord server and through the bug they were able to purchase multiple commodity crates at a time, allowing them to earn roughly 8kk per 2-3 hours, I think (I'm not certain, maybe even more).
Great. And here comes the question: why should I suffer and embrace the nerfed values just because somewhere in the world there is a bunch of nice persons, abusing alliance and server-hop mechanic (raiding) and bug-using?
Perhaaaaaaps you should do anything with raids, Rare? If not, please, make an official statement, that "raid" is an intended way to play the game and by saying so you sign that you are aware of raids' extreme profit and commendation farming, that in no way possible should be considered as a healthy thing for a game environment because it depreciates everything you do, every single aspect of the game.
Note: if you want to say something and it is going to be like "let people play the game the way they want to", then please don't. This thread is about developer's attitude, not yours.
