The devs have said pets will be coming. Undoubtedly, they will make noise. Will this become a liability when trying to hide or listen for boarders? Might they give clues as to when boarders are coming? Should there be a way to silence them?

I make a thread about this exact topic late last night, and in under 10 minutes, it gets moved to the Insider section of the forums despite not giving anything away that wasn't said here, and yet this topic gets to stay here for well over an hour as of this reply? Hypocrisy!!! Favoritism!!!

You're an insider so if I were to read your post from the Recent tab I might be tempted to think it's an insiders post and just answer it and break NDA.

The fact of the matter is:
- Everybody knows pets are coming.
- Everybody knows pets are undergoing testing.
- Everybody knows pets are going to make noise.
These 3 things are no secret, and I divulged no more than that in my thread, and the same applies to the non-Insider OP in this thread, and yet mine is moved and his is not.
I'm being treated unfairly and the people who run this forum are failing at being impartial.

You might notice the first two people to post on this thread are not insiders, so we can't very much discuss it on the insider forum..
@galactic-geek The OP isn't an insider that's the biggest difference, it's a blessing and a curse. We can experience content before it drops but we also can't speculate on it because we know too much an people will see our speculations as half facts because we're insiders.
I mean look at captain Falcore, he's constantly being chased by Joe Neate :-P
Simply put your pet away. If you consider a living monkey, there is no way to shut it up, even in a cage. If it’s in a cage, it won’t be on the enemy ship and it won’t give you away

With all of that said, I can understand why a non-Insider's thread is not moved to the Insider section (for obvious reasons). It should still, however, be dealt with in some way. Otherwise, Insider or not, the results remain the same, except for the fact that one person is subjugated and another is not.
I've said my piece and will end it here.
@galactic-geek I don't know why you are making all of this. It's just stupid. A moderator moved your post to the insider section because he/she saw that you were an insider, and that post will be in a better place in the insider section than in the feedback and suggestions section.
In this case, as the op is not an insider, you can't move the post to the insider section because otherwise the creator of the post could not see and write in it!
Also, when you are an insider, is difficult to know if you are speculating or talking about your experience. But in this post, as the op is not insider, you can assume (even if it's not totally true) that he/she is just speculating.
If you think the mod has been impartial, it's not true, and he/she acted good. But, if you still think he/she was impartial and didn't acted good, then, raise a support ticket.
You have not been warned, you have not been temporally banned, you haven't been permanently banned, you haven't been banned from the insider programme. WHY ARE YOU DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING?!

Wait?! Pets are going to make noise? How do you know that? :O #NDABreach.
The devs never said the were going to make noice, so how do you know they will?.... For the record, i'm also an insider, but not clue if they are gonna make noice, I hope all pets will be quiet as hell :D, we will need to wait on the actual update for that.

The Insider line is such a fine one to tread and not one I want to get into in this thread - but be assured there is no favouritism it's just hard to keep everything 100% and to the rule.

It’s not simply about what non-Insiders may know or not know; Insiders aren’t supposed to make statements about their experience of features. And I can see how some of his statements could be read as such. For instance, he said, “You see, pets are going to make a lot of noise.“ That reads like someone who has an opinion based on experience. I don’t know how much noise they will make. I asked a question about the impact of the noise and made no definitive statements about how loud they will or won’t be. As I said, it’s about the wording - and his quote proves that point. I get what he’s saying, but I can also see how someone could interpret his statements as being inappropriate outside the Insider forum. It was a reasonable assumption to make.
@phelim-mcnab he did say right after that why wouldn’t they they are pets. Pretty much making his statement sound like an assumption rather than fact. The guy under this forum practically said the same thing.

He is an Insider and given that he has access to pets, it is reasonable to assume that this opinion about how much noise they will make is based on his experience as an Insider. The question afterward doesn’t alter that and could reasonably be interpreted as being understanding as to why the devs made pets really noisy. Again, it’s about the wording. Now. This thread isn’t about whether or not an Insider posted something in the wrong forum. As such, I’m done with that line. The questions I pose in the OP are not and could in no way be interpreted as being from my experience of pets in Insider.

They were very clear with the rules not to share any kind of information.
Even if they have said something in a weekly update about the insider patch it still dosent mean you can share that information.
I have done something like that and learned from it, there was a post about ideas and cool things to the game and the OP have named like 50 ideas and ive said that one of them might be coming wink and they have rightfully removed my reply.

This is false. If the developers have made a PUBLIC announcement regarding Insiders, you can talk about it - just not specifics (in other words, you can't stray from what they said). For example, if they say "pets are coming" then you're not going to get punished for saying "pets are coming."
Your experience is different, because it's a direct clue-in with, as far as I know, no official announcement prior to that.
I've already accepted the fact that my thread was moved - that doesn't make it any less disappointing, though, especially since this thread was made. As @Musicmee said, "the Insider line is such a fine one to tread ... it's just hard to keep everything 100% and to the rule." I accepted this as their reasoning, and am okay with that, because I agree. It can be tough. I'm just glad I was able to bring to light just how razor thin that line really is. This was an educational, teachable moment.
Now, about the real topic at hand... I still think there should be a way to quiet your pets so you can take them with you - it'd be more fun that way!
@galactic-geek We did had diffrent cases but in both cases we have learned that thin line.
And they can make a tool for the pets like a whistle something but really even if they have mentioned something the best way to avoid angry moderators because they know where you live.... is just to say nothing.
