Worms are OP AND BROKEN!!!

  • So I want to discuss how overpowered worms are!!! B4 the new update if you wanted barf in game you would have to drink so much from your tankard and go through the drunken motions!!! Where as now all you have to do is EAT A GRUB AND INSTANT BARF BUCKET!!! I FIND IT HARD TO ENJOY THE GAME WHEN IT'S SO EASY FOR MY FRIENDS TO KEEP BARFING ON ME!!! I just think this overpowered!!!

This can be especially difficult to play the game with random players bc its a really harsh troll tactic and it makes the game unplayable when you have infinite worms from the ground and join a crew where all they are doing is barfing in your face. It disables my vision so I cant see where I am aiming a cannon or I cannot see where I am firing my gun!!!

Now you may think it's just a simple mechanic in the game but by God you would be surprised how wrong you are. Like I stated previously normally you would have to be barfed on but for that to happen someone would have to get drunk which can totally disable there movement and can be really hard to endure and because of this barfing wasn't as common as Digging in any random old spot finding a worm %50 of the time, Take a bight and bam you will not have to endure drunkenness and all you gotta do is hold ur bucket out and bam instant grief tool!!!

I am asking the community to please bring this to developer's and I want to discuss alternate mechanics we can implement that cannot be so easily abused!!! Thank for your time and I'm looking forward to your responses!!!

  • @xpoorpuppyx I don't think you have a problem with worms... But you have a problem with the players you play with...

Instead of complaining about this (absurd) thing, you should focus on finding someone you feel comfortable to play with...

  • @nunoazuldimeter I understand what you are saying but it's not just friends it's random players as well and I can only imagine the tragedy that will follow after this is discovered by huge streamers and youtuber's

  • @nunoazuldimeter I totally see what he's saying. I have had an uncomfortable amount of random ships I've played with recently just puking on me non-stop. It can be a little overbearing at time when I just want to enjoy the game. Though having friends you feel.. ' Comfortable ' playing with is nice, some of us don't have friends who play this that often.

  • @xpoorpuppyx playing with randoms is like a Russian roulette... You never know what kind of people will get in your crew. If they are to ruin and troll you, they'll find a way to do it, no matter what.

Personally I rather play solo than let a random enter in my ship.

    @GreedyJewsh
To find friends I'd advise you to find Sea of Thieves communities.. there are a lot of great groups, filled with awesome people.

  • I feel like this can be a problem, worms might need to not make players throw up anymore. just a balance issue

  • I want to discuss alternatives to a new mechanic so let's please try and keep on topic

  • Bring back double shot, it was less broken then the worms.

  • I think this is fairly reflective of real life though , ill tell ya for why... as i write its 7.40pm in sunny england and im currently half way through consuming my third beer... thruth be told, i started drinking about an hour and a half ago at a fairly slow pace.... if im honest, im quite enjoying it... now, whilst i aint exactly brahms and list at the moment, i am experiencing a warm euphoric feeling indicitative of the fact that its in the post..

Now if i started necking pints at the rate my pirate can, i reckon that over the course of the next hour id start feeling somewhat woozy before vomiting. However, it would take a while.

Now, if i were to reverse time by said hour and a half and rather than pouring a beer i started munching on worms, grubs or any other 'orrible slimy little creature for that matter, i guarantee you, id be puking my guts up before id finished swallowing, why??

Cos drinking beer is natural, eating worms aint!!

I therefore say, well done rare for the appropriate representation of the gag reflex within your game!

  • @nikjw While your alcoholism is funny, you missed the argument of the post, but there really wasn't one to begin with. Its a shxt post, Most of the people who responded are his friends, he had been complaining how much we threw up on him all morning by eating worms, so he posted this. Love you all, Worms aren't broken or Op, but poorpuppy does whine a lot. :)

  • @greedyjewsh indeed, thanks for highlighting that.... had i have been one of his friends i would have known that... and not posted... or posted??... im unsure, none the less i am now very sure of the fact that i am not one.... and feel socially isolated, .. if not a little depressed by the stark realisation of this... therefore, will go drown my sorrows, with beer or worms...

  • @nikjw

In one of the trailers (though I can't currently remember which), it is said that a single tankard's worth of grog can knock a horse unconscious. It's quite a bit more powerful than the stuff you're drinking, but a pirate with some long term experience may eventually be able to take one without letting it back out.

  • Eating leeches as a way of inducing tactical vomit just before getting on a ladder is awesome!

  • @ultmateragnarok ahhh, i see, in fairness im not tolerant enough for special brew yet!!!

  • Hey, thanks for pointing out the strategic effectiveness of worms!

Oh, and find other people to play with.

  • @xpoorpuppyx
Sounds like you need new friends.....
I suggest joining a clan until this is fixed.
Playing with randos is the worst
