7 months after shourded spoils update n still haven't seen the shrouded ghost let alone tryed to fight it (im a daily player 6-10 hours ) part of me thinks leave it n it will pop up another part of me thinks up the spawn rate so we can at least see what it looks like but make it super hard

I had Skeletons to kill there and an earthquake helped me, suddenly a geyeser revelaed something just in front of me.
Super lucky.
Before i handed it in i finished my journey and there was a Galleone around all the time.
I made it high risk and went to Morrows Peak when the Galleone was there.
They didnt know what i had, were friendly and my heart was pumping as hell :-)
I didnt even know where to hand it in and went to the Gold Hoarder first and not Captain Grace.
I also didnt know i can go to Stitcher Jim.The Shrouded Ghost attacked us between Dagger Tooth and Shipwrecked Bay while doing an Athena.
My Crew like the most players often dont so the Cargo's.
I dislike that, i want to do all the tasks, although i dont need to unlock anything or need money or reputation.
The Shrouded Ghost attacked whole we made a big detour to deliver the Cargo.Therefore i always say. Dont speedrun and exploit and all.
Let it happen by the way, so dont do shortcuts ;)The sharks all behave the same, I'd be more happy if they changed up each shark to have a certain set of behaviours instead of changing spawn rates, like the shrouded ghost summoning some fog, the shadow maw turning the waters murky, the crescent queen would use an electrifying bite... so forth and so on to make fighting each shark a little bit more engaging.

I disagree.
Some things are more fun when you don't approach it with a completionist attitude...
The Shrouded Ghost for example, whose very existence can be described as mythical and even deniable by some.
Whenever you get that title, it will be something truly special because few ever have the opportunity to see this beast. So what if you have an unfilled commendation? This makes it more fun and special.
I hope they never touch the spawn rate of the Shrouded Ghost.

While all the megs are basically identical it's kind of stupid for one to be super rare IMO. They should keep the current spawn rates and change their characteristics like @UrihamRayne mentioned above.
@chris-houlden I've found the box of secrets 4 times. 4.5 mill sailed since the update and still no shrouded title. Also was a daily 10+ hr player at this game .. Came across quite a few crews now that have it and even some mom that plays with her kids only like an hr a day they all had it and dont even know how to do a mission on the game, I had met them at wanderers during a reaper voyage. Quite interesting how ppl who don't play get it and the regulars don't .. Hell one guy I use to play with who quit this game got on for one day on a random gally and got shrouded within ten mins and he's back to not playing this game.

Nope, it did feel like any other Megalodon. It wasn't more fun or more special, not harder or more rewarding and by no means more memorable. I can barely remember how she looked like.

I hope they do and in exchange raise the difficulty to make her a challenge. Maybe also adjust the booty.
If we all prioritized a "to-do" list in this game, frankly none of us would have lives. Why not just enjoy the game without needing to check off all of the boxes?

As I already told you I've met and defeated her and it was nothing like you hope it to be.
@bugaboo-bill to me it's like gambling, and hitting the jackpot is ultra rare. Personally I know where all the meg spawns are and there are some spawns that overlap and will spawn two megs even knowing that and farming the areas you have alliance the whole server to hope you dont farm a pink or yellow just to have a shrouded pop on some other boat in the world . But after hearing what one guy said the devs said to him at e3 I think its dumb .. Apparently,there are only 10 SG per day per server that will even spawn, there is no music or indication until it gets hit, so most of the reason people are missing it is because who really looks for it. Most people only look out the back of thier boat once they hear the muxic, there was a few other things that person said but it just made me shake my head andI didn't really care to remember. I'll either sail across it one day or I wont.. For the record I've seen the SG I was solo went to attack a kraken in the storm before I got off for the night with little supplies and SG came and bit my sloop to oblivion i died sloop sank have not seen her since

I'm not so much into analyzing stuff.
I just play the game and taken how it comes.
I'm an immersive casual player.
I like it to have a super rare Monster around, should be stronger than others, but anyway.
Cannot tell you from an achievement hunter pov or someone who analyzes the game and try to get the max out if it.
I like to not understand and get it all perfectly.
