  • This sounds like something that should be taken up with the microsoft support or enforcement team, not the insider forums.

  • Report him to the cyber police and the state police.

Let him know the consequences will never be the same

  • @tre-oni They dun goofed!

  • @supposedloki327

    nope

  • @grayboosh why wouldn't you believe me?

  • Why did you post this in insider? @Deckhands to move the post

  • If you join a voice chat through the XBox app, people can get your IP because the connections are peer-to-peer I believe. If they have your IP they can flood your network with ping and other nonsense requests until your internet goes down.

They can't get your name and address from that information though, so they got that some other way.

  • @d3adst1ck The xbox app leaks your full name if your not careful. Absolutely hate it

  • @supposedloki327 this isn't insider material mate.
Report it to Rare through the support page if you will, but if it's true you should contact other law departments too.

DoS and DDoS attacks on Xbox One FAQ

I stand corrected. They can get your IP and execute a DoS attack (DDoS if there are multiples), but your personal information probably came from another source. Your real name is publicly tied to your GT somewhere online. Your IP address just doesn't provide that kind of information.

Report them to Microsoft. This is potentially a ban-able offense, in addition to a felony (I believe). Report them to Sea of Thieves support as well.

And when I say Report them, I don't mean posting it on a forum or tweeting MS or SoT ... use the official report procedures.

  • @supposedloki327 Ahoy matey!

    This sounds very suspicious indeed...

However, the forum isn't the right place to report or discuss this. If you want to report a cheat, hack or bug you have discovered, please contact Support and hopefully, they can get to the bottom of the strange goings on.

    Submit a support ticket

    Dropping anchor on this one!
