New Plants and Foliage

Ok, so since the Anniversary Update, I've been thinking about new types of plants. Different types of fish could be found in different areas (Pondies in ponds, Plentifins in the Shores of Plenty), and I thought that it would be really interesting for different types of plants to also exist in different regions. I know there are different types of trees and things on the islands already, but I was thinking region unique plants with different attributes and looks. For example, I have seen a Venus fly trap looking plant on some islands, and I was thinking it could potentially become another land-based threat, but if you were to cut it down, you could get a certain type of food. In the case of how different plants look, I think there could be glowing plants or shining plants, much like the mushrooms found in caves (but different in each region). I don't know if this makes any sense but I think it would be a cool thing to add in Sea of Thieves.
