    Yes, one more subject about guilds.
    But let me explain my point of view :

    It should work as World of warcraft or Dofus guilds.

    • Create a new guild :

    The guild master will choose one emblem and one background (also choose colors) from a preset panel.

    • Xp for the guild :
      The guild should start with a maximum of 4 people.
      Loots can be sold to a new pnj, no golds earned but "Guild doublons" instead and reputation for your guild.
      Guild are lvl 1 to X (we must define). Each Y levels, you gain a guild slot for additional members.
      With "Guild doublons" you can buy exclusif skins of your guild (with the color of your guild and the emblem on etc..).

    • Raise your guild flag :
      Commendations can be acomplished only with the guild flag up.
      You can put the flag only if you're a full guild crew (solo sloop is counted as full crew). So if you're on a galleon, with only 3 members of the guild with a "stranger", you can't put the flag on and then, commendations doesn't count.

    This could fit to new patch incoming : "Arena".
    Open crew fight, Premade crew fight, Guild fight.

    I'm totaly aware that it's kind of hard to understand, i very very bad at explaining and on top of that i'm not english (french).

    So tell me what do you think about it , pros/cons, what would you add etc...

    @hephytelion Cool idea. Some kind of community, fleet, guid support is desperately needed imo. Organized communities at large have been neglected.

    @blackbeard-lufy yeah , and you could face an enemy guild ship on your server and start a non-official guild war or help an allied guild.

    Moreover, we could play with guild reputation, if you want pvp but you see a strong guild galleons on the server, you have to think twice before engaging them etc... It's all about new story to write on this nice game :)

    Well I think communities should probably be able to apply designs for ship Customization specifically 4 their community. That would be cool

    @entspeak Man, maybe you hate Wow. But i didn't suggest to add orcs and dwarf in the game. Just to have a wow-like guild system.

    We already have 3 guilds now and are adding 2 more in a few days. They already represent the community and pirates alike and we all have access to what they give for rank and success with their cosmetics.

    @inboundbomb Well, you never played a MMORPG i guess...
    When i say guild, i'm not reffering to those controled by NPC.

    I mean, crews could sail under a players guild flag... i'll not explain how a guild work..

    I understand what they are and how they work but this isn't one of those games. Guilds are not needed here.

    It's a Pirate game. It could be nice to fight in the name of your guild. I mean, tell me why it shouldn't be there?

    Until they allow us to sail with more than just 4 friends on a server without having to do ship take overs there is no need for a guild. There are alliances for more money and rep for those who need it. Tell me this..... How many guilds would there be? Can anyone create one? If so where would this info be collected, stored and put into a constant live server?

    @inboundbomb Yep, you should have to do a quest to earn a reward "Guild diamond" (or somthing else xD), then you should be abble to create a guild.
    When you sail as full guilded crew on a boat (read the topic above), you could achieve commendations for your guild.
    It should be pointless to be in a solo guild. But every server where a full guilded ship is sailing and selling stuffs to the guild npc, it should count for commendations.. (tell me if you don't understand, as i said, i'm realy bad at explaining :( )

    @hephytelion I understand what your saying but to me it's the same old deal to what I've been playing already. What your stating is just another faction in a game that anyone can create and build upon but unfortunately this game isn't made for it to support that style of play at this time.

    @inboundbomb In deed, one more "faction" to xp.. but i guess it would be more exciting to "xp" for your guild, because it should be a collectif effort.
    And i would rather represent the guild i joined (or my own) than npc guild..

    I'm guess I'm just thinking that Rare has to keep up with all this stuff and every player that wanted to create their own guild. With this game being on Xbox and can be played through game pass there could be millions of guilds created that would have to be accounted for and kept up with. I just don't think Rare has those resources at the moment.

    @inboundbomb Yes, but go throught technical issues, wouldn't it be cool?
    Eventualy, it could be limited by many ways :

    Hard and long quest to get the "Guild diamond" that allows you to give it to the Guild Master NPC to create your guild ingame. The fact that it's Hard and long should limit the type of player claiming to create a guild.

    When a guild is created, you have like 2 days to "validate" it otherwise it disband. (Validation could be : invite 2 or more player in your guild, and do some specific (not so long) commendation to validate it)

    It may be cool for some but to me in the end it's a MEH kinda thing to me. The community is still having trouble on trying to just play the game let alone try to put a player guild system in place.

    @hephytelion I've never played WoW. I have no interest in WoW or Wow-like guilds. This game isn't WoW or WoW-like.

    @hephytelion Oh, I understand. I'm saying this isn't WoW and it doesn't need things like Guilds.

    If folks want to start guilds outside of the game, more power to them, but there doesn't need to be any in-game support for that.

    @entspeak WoW was an EXEMPLE.

    And why not? i could help new players to find mates, confirmed pirate could teach to non-confirmed pirate, no need to use a discord to sail up with a member of your guild to farm to xp the guild etc... i don't know there is a plenty of possibilies.

    @hephytelion Whether or not WoW is the example, the fact is that Guilds aren't something this game needs.

    The game already allows for the things you're talking about.

    It would be cool to farm for something more "personnal" (even if collectiv) than NPC factions

    @hephytelion i have to agree with @InboundBomb and @entspeak here this is not the game for “guilds”.

    All the things you are asking for are widely possible in game apart from grinding for a custom faction.

    All the commendations for a custom factions would need to be generalized down so mich it wouldn’t make a difference if you where grinding for Gh, OoS, merchant, sea dogs, hunter’s call or athena’s in contrast to your own guild/faction.

    Next it would have to use XBox live’s attrocious communication systems as long as your not in the game itself (sailing a ship) and i simply can’t stand the fact that in 2019 a service like that doesn’t support push to talk.

    The reason most people use discord instead of xbox party chat is that xbox party chat is BAD especially on pc.

    I could go on for reasons why this wouldnt work well in a game like SoT but its already a wall of text
