Firstly, when you first load in the game your man o war should automatically have 60 cannonballs, 30 wooden planks and 30 bananas.

Secondly, it would have less manoeuvrability than all the other ships but to make up for this it should have 6 cannons on each side of the ship. It would also take slightly longer to raise the sails and it should be the fastest ship if all the sails are angled correctly.

Finally, the man o war should be a 6-8 player ship and this would make a lot of people happy who have to go on a different game or different ship because the crew on the galleon is full. This has happened to me multiple times and it would be great to have this ship in the game.

Now a 6-8 man crew can harass smaller crews. Have you thought about the balancing issues, lad? I have heard rumours that the developers have a Man o War prototype, but it isn't likely they'll be bringing it to the game.

Well maybe there could be a server just for man o wars. To make it balanced.

Man O War ship type sounds really awesome and with alot of friends i'm all for it, but i can't disregard all the balance problems there would be if they put it into the game which is disapointing. :(

@capt-niteshade yeah it definitly looks like it will be the sea dog tavern, you can even see a women there thats connected to the arena. (she's the sister of the guy in the arena trailer).

Also I think you are forgetting about the completely separate arena mode, a man o war would fit perfectly into that mode.

But maybe it's more than only a Tavern? It can also more like an outpost with its own Clothing Shop, Equipment Store, Weapons Smith and Shipwright. We need to buy those new Arena Cosmetics somewhere in the Adventure Mode, right?

@benh6803 as some one who plays mainly as a solo sloop player, it would realy suck if I couldn't out run a boat with such a huge fire power and personnel advantage. also in reality the thing that defines the top speed of a boat is its hull size. the more hull in the water the slower the boat. food for thought.

If they did, then they should also have solo sloop servers.

I think it could work... But you'd have to give it some major downsides- eg it can only go fast with the wind- slowest by far in any other wind. Also if sails arnt lined up then it pays a major cost on speed.

Weaker hull.
