Questions for current Insiders.

All you really have to do is log on the Insider server and play for at least an hour a week.
Any further participation is up to you. Rare may be monitoring the upvotes on the Insider forums, so you could simply vote for similar opinions, or not.
Don't worry about anything else, just have some fun checking out the new content.

Ahoy! Now I can't really talk much about what the build is like without breaking NDA, so I'll keep it short and sweet. It is very similar to the main game but with features the devs want tested poping up every week. There is no time restraint on gameplay so you can enjoy testing for as long as you want. As for what you can do to leave good feedback, I personally and see other create a bug list based on the individual features. Then usually have a seperate discussion based on person opinions on them. I hope this helped you get a better understanding of the insider process, and I hope to see you on the seas soon!

The insider build is an entire seperate game from the regular build. That means you're gonna have to make a new pirate from scratch, download the game again, etc. You'll get rewards to the main game though.

It plays pretty much the same as the regular game, just with the new features they want to test. They have feedback threads for each new thing, so you just play the game like you normally would and give your feedback on opinions, bugs, etc.

Idk what you mean by false reporting. But because the insider build is a seperate game, if someone was doing something they're not supposed to do, im sure it will be easy for rare to track them down with a much smaller pool of players.

Have they stopped accepting people to the insider programme? I’ve joined up but it won’t let me download the game in the Microsoft store.

I believe if you are here, you have already become a full fledged insider.
It’s not manditory to play one hour per week, that’s if you want the rewards to go to the retail version of the game. After 15 weeks you get an exclusive ship set only insiders can earn.

I’m sure they would need proof to ban you. But it’s a little suspicious to ask IMO. As long as you don’t take pictures, video, or talk about the new things coming up that haven’t been released yet. So your safe if you follow the rules.

Good feedback would include: bugs, game issues, if you find any exploits or “hacks”. If you feel someone thing isn’t right this is the place to state that for instance I felt the crab guys spawn WAY to often. The devs need us to speak up or they don’t know how to better the game.
