Weird Waves

  • @Ruigtand-NL joined @x-Wolfstryder-x, my spouse, and I on the sea last night. We decided to just hunt ships after trying on and buying our birthday presents. We started our hunt heading to Shipwreck Bay to add a few more shipwrecks. We ended up spotting a brig at Crooked Masts.

We sail up dropping Wolf off with a gunpowder barrel as Ruig and I loop around to open cannon fire. The brig sinks. We collect the loot as we hear a young boy ask his Mom why we sunk their ship. She told him some pirates do that to steal treasure. The boy said I think I will go to their ship and challenge them to a duel. His Mom said ok. Well Captain Crowheart’s heart led him to telling his crew I would accept his challenge and we will let him win their treasure back. They said we were supposed to be pirates. I said I know, but it will be fun.

Then his Mom said shoot I am on another island. He left to go help her. We could still hear them on the other island. He was giving his Mom instructions on what buttons to press. So, we sailed on and decided to talk to them if we saw them again. Never did though as we did not see any other action at all. Seeing nothing but sea we jumped servers.

A few servers later we found a sea full of reapers. We set sail to a ship at Shipwreck Bay. It was night as we sailed along the outside edge of the storm. It was a perfect storm as we pulled up across from an anchored sloop to sink them and steal all their captain’s chests.

On to the next ship which was a slow moving galleon. Ruig thought it must have been waited down with a lot of captain’s chests. We cruised beside it and sunk it. We were cussed and ridiculed. They had no loot at all.

Off to the next ship which was another galleon that ran. We sailed past a pushy skellie galleon and chased them to an outpost where we sunk them. A sloop came up at that time on us, but we circled back and herded them into docking at the outpost. They said they had nothing just as we found the galleon was also empty.

The sloop and galleon where in a gentleman’s alliance as they could not do it proper with reapers up. They all surrendered. So, we end up making the alliance more official and redistributed the captain’s chests we took off the other sloop. The galleon returns to officially join the alliance. They get stopped by Karen. We lead the charge to help them. We chase Karen off as a brig pulls up to the sloop. Another ship in their non-official alliance. So, now four ships are truly under the heart pennant.

They all jump on the sloop as we fight off a Meg that attacks us alone. After we take her down they snatch up half the loot she spat up. They call us to the sloop as well. We board and find them playing music and dancing with one rounded pirate with little clothes on, who looked like a man made up as a woman disguised as a man, ran in circles around everyone with a skull in their hand. After a tune ends they realize that they already had the commendation and did not need to add more pirates to fill a sloop.

We sail on and the brig follows as we get a skellie ship popping up on us. It sails past. It loops back after we sink the skellies. They sail past as we get the loot and open fire on us. We give chase and sink them fast. They come back and said they were sorry. They said they were new and did not know we were in the alliance even though we sailed away with them from the dance party.

We let them go. The other ships look like they are working together at the same island. We go in that direction to head out hunting other ships. As we get close the galleon sets sail fast for the outpost again. We check and find the sloop was left behind. Wolf sails it to the outpost as Ruig and I sail on to start the hunt.

The galleon did not turn in anything. Wolf is getting ready to dock the sloop at the outpost as one of its crew finally looks for it. He gets back as we start a chase on a ship that scuttles. We sailed around more doing this and that as we see a brig at a skull fort with a heart pennant up. We sail up offering them to join our surrendered fleet. Nope they immediately opened fire on us. So, Ruig and I make our brig’s cannons sing while Wolf boards. After a quick rage storm of cussing their crew goes down with the ship.

The brig returns several times after spawning close by after we sink them faster and faster each attempt. They even tried sneaking up on a rowboat they dropped off. Not sure what they thought they could accomplish. We clean out the fort deciding to call it a night as Ruig says he is going to sleep. Big time difference between us.

We tell him to tuck his pirate and himself in as we head to Galleon’s Grave to turn it all in. As Ruig’s pirate is curled up on the bed we hull it in to all the vendors. Seems all the other ships in the alliance docked at the same time to finally cash in as the rewards for a weird and very fun time comes to a close after another night on the sea.

Last kid I encountered on the seas called me a "mudder f***er" after we sunk them (they shot first). Glad to hear that some parents actually play with their kids.

I know what you mean. The worse language we have heard in this game can come from little kids. It is nice to see this and even more meaningful it all was in the sense of being a good sport on the sea. I would have really loved to have played out the duel with him.

  • Sure had a lot of fun playing pirate :D
The game works really good for me at the moment.

Good balance on pve monsters, almost no bugs or crashes.. i like the new missions. I really really like the new legend sails the colours i really like it :D

You guys are so much fun to play with!

Im in me morning shifts now but i cant wait to get back to the real pirate world later today ^^ need to do some cargo checks and possibly do some redistribution to keep things fair and balanced :")
