One good crew can terrorize a whole server right now and ruin the game for everyone, Its super annoying getting killed over and over and over again... they come right back after they sunk you even if you dont have anything. game needs some kind of matchmaker, if someone kills many people he will be put on a server with other pvp players.
Hardcore Pvp Players ruin the game
@hipsu555 They want PvP and that's currently the only way to get it. If you want to blame someone, blame Rare for not giving players better outlets to play the way they want. PvP players can and have said the same thing about PvE only players ruing the game with their pacifist mindset.
Don't take this in the wrong way but the game is called "Sea of Thieves". Sandbox type game where anything in the pirate realm is possible. Blackbeard terrorized the coast of virginia for months. The same can be said in-game. Can't hold anything against people just wanting to sail around and get into fights/steal loot. Some nights me and my crew do just that. Terrorized the seas and take what we can. I've been on the other end of the barrel too. Hours and hours on Athena's and skullfort only to be halted by one really good galleon of players. I get angry for a bit but then I realize there is not much you can do when it comes to the world of pirates.
@hipsu555 and @BETSILL There is a mode called ARENA coming out soon. So that will get some PvPers out of the standard mode. But you guys gotta face that its an aspect of the game. Don't look at that PvP as a bad thing its a good thing! PvP makes this game exciting. When me and my crew play and we don't engage a ship at least once we get bored. PvP works because its thrilling. If you only like PvE go play a single player game because as long as there are others there will be PvP in any game that has some sort of violence. Having a game where its only you and nothing and no one is would be boring. I hate to say get good but you are going to have to if you want the full experience of Sea of Thieves. If you guys thought PvP was bad now you guys MISSED the start of the game including the alpha and beta. Almost every ship was out to get you. Be glad its only one crew. It could be more.
If one ship terrorize the hole server, Why not ally up with the other ship's??
The option to change server is also there.I do not think that the Arena gonna change anything on Adventure mode
If anything, It will give more player some needed practice.
For me personally, the arena will proppebly be a place for 30-60 min gameplay. But I do think that there should be some kind of matchmaking.
although we have no advantage over a new player in form of ship, weapons etc.
But experience is the winner here, An dont think it's fair in any form that a new players gonna get match up with PL.@beardedfella19 Pve servers matter to me in: time an resources
Because I dont see any need for Pve servers, I dont want Rare to spend a sec, or any employed working on it, when they could work on something else.
Cant say that's the reason for all who dont want PveI can see why someone want a adventure game, But will the problem not be resolve if they introduce Private servers instead of Pve servers.
@hipsu555 I looked at your previous posts, and pretty much in every post you're complaining that's this game is too hard. Order of Souls is too hard for you, people betraying in alliance and this is not fun for you, asking for PVE mode, PVP is too hard for you. THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOU. Quit crying.
@hipsu555 It takes a long time to get one end of the map to the other. It's kind of hard to terrorize every one on the server. If it's one crew terrorizing everyone else, why not alliance up and take them down? Server hop if you have nothing to lose is what I would do when I was new.
About Sea of Thieves:
"Exotic islands. Hidden treasures. Riddles, battles and shanties. The essential pirate experience.
Sea of Thieves is a new type of MULTIPLAYER GAME that delivers all you need to live the free-roaming pirate life. Whether adventuring as a group or sailing solo, YOU'LL ENCOUNTER OTHER CREWS... but will they be friends or foes, and how will you respond?" - Source HERE@hipsu555 switch servers or beat that crew or try something in the east part of the world. If u can't beat em then they are the pirate lords of that server... give em credit and move on.
@hipsu555 also, I think hardcore pvp players are annoying but I think the threat of them makes this game what it is.
@xmd-anduin The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. Don't go back to the same island right after you scuttle. If you have to go there then switch severs. You are making it harder on yourself by staying around and getting killed.
@galactic-geek Then i guess I am a fool. So is all of Rare. And probably most of the Mods here. It will lessen The amount of PvPer's one may come across in a session maybe for a week or two but most PvPers will go back to adventure mode. At the very least everyone complaining about PvP being too hard can at least try Arena or better yet play adventure mode and get better at PvP. I use to be bad but through hard work and willpower me and my crewmate kill those who try to attack ranging from sloops to galleons. It also sounds like you will be staying in adventure mode and will PvP. though i can not read into to much. But I believe i have seen you post before about PvPing
I sink ships for the fight, not the treasure.i attack everyone I see because I never know where the next epic fight will be. seeing ur boat sink to the bottom is all the treasure I need.
PVPers attack for the fight, saying u don't have loot doesn't mean a thing. and oh btw I have sunk many ships that say 'but we have nothing'. and when they sink a stack of loot floats up.

I just hope PvP doesn't become the new crossplay and Rare caves because there happen to be people who campaign for PvE servers.
I am worried of this as well. I fear Rare opened the door with crossplay and sent the signal that whoever whines the most gets the changes.
Its funny how everyday you will see multiple posts on a same topic, all on the first page (making sure to create separate posts to appear like the issue is more problematic rather than search and post under existing ones), with most of the posters being 1 hour old accounts with 1 post to their name. Really activates one's almonds. I guess I might need a tinfoil pirate hat, who knows.
With a PvP mode coming out, it only makes sense to make a PvE mode too.
There is a demand for it, and there has been since before the game launched.
And seeing as the PvP mode likely won't contain restrictions or limitations to rewards, neither should the PvE mode. After all, players are not the only threat on the seas anymore. But the time it would take to make such servers work would be up in the air if it would be worth the effort to make them.
Disabling player damage would not be enough after all.If it were up to me, I'd just add a "Migrate Server" option to the menus, which would force your ship to migrate to a new server to avoid the PvP combat you don't want forced upon you(Or in case of Server shutdown due to lack of players in the session).
Of course it would need a cooldown so as to not be misused.Don't blame the Player, blame the Game!
I wouldn't say that hardcore PvPers are the problem. The problem is the game design's "Respawn" mechanic.
I can't count the times that I've sunk PvPers over and over again and they just keep coming back again and again. It might be their idea of fun but maybe not how I and my crew wanted to spend the evening.
Rare needs to migrate sunken ships to a new server. Or maybe a ship that sinks twice within an hour?
The core of your frustration stems from the Game Design.

no way. Killing someone as they come for revenge after I sunk them the first time is great. if they keep coming back and get sunk that is their own fault. no need to send to anther server imho
