I would normal complain on a weekly basis about rare items.... but alas we found the BOWS this weekend :( I still think it's crazy to link a commendation to it :)

On a side note.... seems like quite a few folks found the BOWs this weekend. Co-inkydink?

@archaell I tried actively finding it. Spent multi hour sessions, plural, just sailing towards and into the shroud. To the point I was watching YouTube on my phone while my boat just did 8 figures in the deepest part in the shroud. Even stopped killing any megalodon in it to see if it would come back in a different color.

It is not fun anymore, for me she just isn't anything more than a pirate myth. It is supposed to be an epic encounter, a fierce battle between shark and ship.

I don't mind working for something, but at this point I kind of gave up on it. I never seen a box of wonders either, but it is just a piece of treasure sitting on a beach.

There is a difference between rare and short of unattainable. There goals for it, legends need a total of 50 I believe of confirmed kills. I sail a fair bit and haven't even seen it. Let alone beat it.

You say it keeps people playing, I think it is so rare it is starting to become a whatever I don't care anymore type of deal for most. The goals set by the game seem to require years to complete, sorry but that isn't the time scale I think is reasonable to ask.

There is a tipping point from making something that drives people and when it becomes a deterrent.

@CoffeeLight5545 50 isn't enough, make it 500 like the skeleton ships maybe.

Make it a social aspect even, I dont know need X people playing the song of the hungering deep while in the fog or something that people can strive for.

Have the ability to drop an Athena, or even one of each type, into the sea for her to eat and she won't even drop loot if summoned this way would work for me at this point.

both this shark and that random crate box are both a fake made up never seen them and 90% of the people that play this game won't ever see either one ever so I'm a 200% sure it's made up fake news to get people to play and look for nonexistent items

i saw it appear live on stream on Pace22s stream. The closest I'll ever get to seeing it, I guess.

I stopped playing for a while before any of the major updates then the shrouded spoils introduced the different megs and brought me back to a regular pirate again ( daily instead of just weekends) fighting megs and ghost ships helped me go from level 24-27 all the way to pirate legend so a fair few hours sail and hunting and not once have I ever seen the ghost and what is even more frustrating is there's a accommodation to kill 50 I think for Athena's fortune at this point I'm think that a simply impossible. The shrouded ghost is way to rare and if and when I finally find it if that beast drops nothing more than some rare tea and a disgraced skull I will be uninstalling sea of thieves for good

Real question is that shroud ghost meg fake or is it a real thing I've along with a lot of other people have not seen it at this point to us it's fake????

According to the xbox succes, 0,01% of SOT's players already killed the shroud ghost meg.
On the 1 million players on SOT, only 100 killed it since the begining............
