optional crossplay or pc only matchmaking

So after watching the weekly dev update, I notice that the topic of having it optional for console players to play only with other console players seems great and I am glad they are allowing them to leave the hardships of dealing with pc players. But what about the other way? I am a pc player and I like a good challenge, I would like to be able to play with other pc players and not have to deal with casual console players that want nothing to do with pvp. If we could condense the servers pc players play on, I think that would make it a more enjoyable experience for us pc players. What do you guys think?
