For those like myself who have over 700 doubloons saved up it would be really nice during a new bilge rat adventure to login buy the cosmetics and just not have to worry about grinding out the content right away. Ive been trying to step away from the game as all there is to do is grind achievements right now and its pretty rough and boring as its all revolving around the quest system. The fact we can earn doubloons after the events now is really cool but if you make the time limited cosmetics locked behind achievements then it forces us to play when we might be trying to take a break.

@magus104 I thought the time limited stuff was doubloon purchase only, and not locked behind a commendation but maybe I'm mistaken.
The forsaken shores clothes were locked behind commendations but those were not time limited and are still available.
It should be the opposite - the cosmetics always locked behind the achievements... BUT! Always means always, even after the event ends. I have tons of useless doubloons as well right now because there is nothing to buy - no new things, no old nothing, nothing. That's boring in my opinion.
(There is the gold and reputation option, but why would you buy something that actually decreases the in-game content even more? Seems stupid to do so.)
