Why has no one talked about this? I've never seen it this bad.
Since the update, a lot of us have been encountering bugs/glitches (mainly screen-tears from objects) that have to do with the sunshafts, shadows, and/or the ships themselves. These two GIF's I created were from last nights gameplay, and I've never encountered anything like this since after the recent update.
As you can see, it's as if there's a "wall" of screen-tear and it's making the fort in front of me just vanish, and then the resources in the ship disappear as well. Not only that, it was killer on my eyes. God forbid if I was susceptible to seizures, this could have possibly triggered someone with what was happening on my screen. I can also confirm it is NOT my hardware, at least currently. 3 of my friends have had screen-tearing issues, including the pirate I was with during this session, and a couple others on this forum have stated as such too. For him, each boat would have a "graphical spike", or that screen-tear wall and give away positions of other pirates on the horizon. All he had to do was look for the immense tearing of a boat in the distance. One of my other pirate buddies, (I run a small SoT Community Discord), has had no isues whatsoever. Although, he runs a 2080ti SLI setup. In saying, some may never experience this but I feel most have seen something off or fishy, at the very least.
I also caught wind that the devs encountered this on their livestream just recently too. I do not know what was said.
My gripe here is, is that I want to know if this is a known issue? I looked around and it's as if it's not happening to anyone on the forums at least. For me, and others that I know, this is extremely annoying. Having these fast, flashing screen-tears aren't safe for the eyes.
