Just got off of SoT having spent the better part of an hour beating a skull fort. Then literally having just left said fort (I’m talking 30 seconds) my crew get attecked by the Kraken. The kraken (IMO) has a huge difficulty spike the bigger the boat anyway, to the point where every time I’ve been on a galleon it’s been sunk, anyway I digress, the point of this is it’s really demoralising having just beat a skull fort to have your boat sunk almost straight away. It also didn’t help that midway through the kraken attack a megaladon joined in and starting tagteaming us with the kraken too. Anyway I hope you see this Rare because it’s making beating things like skull forts worthless if we’re just gonna lose it almost straight away.
Rare sort the event spawns out and difficulties please
@ElasticBandy-x Well...I've done the skull fort numerous times (solo at that, not to sound pompous or boastful about it), but I've never came across where the Kraken comes in right away and ruin everything and managed to make it to the outpost without any interference (so far). In fact the Meg does appear, but does not attack us...again, so far. So...just unexpected events maybe?
@prorapidkiller ive been krakend as soon as a depart from the completed fort on way to an outpost. Like literally 30 seconds after leaving the fort. During those kraken fights, meg shows up. But I always supplied up before leaving for this very reason. SOT is about playing smart, if you dont play smart, you end up making posts like this.
OP has a point here. I have noticed within the last month or so that the kraken does have something like at least a 25% chance of hitting a ship near a fort after the fort clears. Once hit my crew after finishing a fort. One hit a galleon sailing up on my sloop as we loaded it (we laughed at them as we sailed away that time of course). It’s kind of harsh actually, though I suppose that’s just the way it will be from now on.
Keep stocked up and follow my guide on how to defeat it when it spawns on you and you won't have issues.
The meg's are for the most part passive, and there are times where it will be attacked and attack skeleton ships and the only reason for it to really attack a player ship is when it has been aggro'd by a shot from a player.
