Concept: enchanted items

  • So this concept does not involve a new trading company, it simply adds to the different tasks you can carry out for any of the main three.

Enchanted items/loot (calling them enchanted bc there aren’t the same as the cursed chests we already have) would be random spawn items, similar to goblets and messages, and could be found washed ashore, though maybe also in boxes and barrels. The items could be sold instantaneously to the relevant trading company, but it would not sell for very much gold. The player would have to first break the enchantment on the item, before turning it in for the full reward.

Examples of such enchanted items could include:

Fire enchantment crystal - must be hit by a lava rock to break enchantment.

Mariners globe: sail X nautical miles to break enchantment

Damage enchantment skull: does small burst of AOE damage to all within a surrounding diameter, use this damage to kill 5 skeletons to break enchantment (damage effect would disappear after enchantment is broken).

Anything you would add to this concept? Any ideas for enchantments? Anything you would change?

This post of your is a perfect example of the Topic Giving Loot Gameplay value. This is a very unique idea and would go well alongside my Adorments and Ornaments idea. These idea's need to be discussed further. I would like to see this idea fleshed out so feel free to take a look at these post for some inspiration.
