ESCAPING TRUE THE RED SEA

  • Dead pirates and developers

I come here to tell my opinio about the red sea and trying to escape true it. Me and a couple of friends tried to escape from a gally true the eed sea corner at devils road and the wilds. While we were repairing out ship it sudenly got instasunk. This was for me and my crew uther disapointing. And this was never in the patchnotes to. Pleas fix this

  • It's the edge of the map, what'd you expect? :P

  • That is exactly what the Red Sea is supposed to do. I’m not sure what the problem is here.

  • I've never known the Red Sea to insta-sink a ship. IMO, it shouldn't do that, especially if there's a way through, like going from The Wilds to the Devil's Roar. It should be a soft-kill-zone, not a hard kill-zone. You should be able to stay afloat for as long as you can make repairs.

  • It should not sink suddenly and instantly. It should sink first slowly but then with increasing speed, as it takes increasing damage and you can't keep a galleon - or only with a well trained crew - in the Red Sea. But when the water reaches the middle deck, it is sinking really fast, as most often its damage is not repaired - you will still be working at the lowest deck.

It's been this way since launch, so it wouldn't be in the patch notes. Once you enter the red sea, you have a few moments to get yourself turned around while holes start appearing. Once you go far enough in, the ship goes under in the same manner and speed as if you had voted to scuttle the ship.

There is no problem to fix other than your own navigation. The map wasn't designed to circumnavigate; you can't sail west and end up on the east side of the map. If you end up in the red sea "turn around, don't drown".

  • @be-daredevil next time STAY AWAY FROM THE RED SEA OK?

  • @closinghare208 no, it should be that you sink by all the holes, not just despawn, so there is a risk to sink but if you pull it off you can maybe escape you presuers

  • @be-daredevil Why would they let you travel off the map as far as you could till you ran out of planks? lol! The point of you staying up a couple mins is to give you the time to turn around and get out..the red sea is not for you to sail around in as long as you have planks..might want to stop doing that..

  • @be-daredevil I see
