Ahoy Mates!
With the Forsaken Shores content update Sea Posts have been added to the seas and if ya ask me they're an alright addition.
(But I think they can be improved)
So right now they have 2 functions:
- Randomized discounted Cosmetic items.
- Restoring your ship's stock with the available Resources in the Barrels on the Sea post.
And Sea Posts are gonna be places where you deliver your Cargo Run items, so 3 functions in the grand scheme of things.
Well, 3 functions ain't bad but I've got ideas for plenty more!
Let's get started:
-
Cages.
I think you should be able to purchase the 3 cage types from the Sea Post Owner's Stock.
This would make Sea Posts pretty essential to go to if you've lost your Cages. -
Docked Rowboats.
It'd be nice if Sea Posts had one or two docked Rowboats at them.
I think this would add an extra level of relevance to Sea Posts. -
Ship Customisation Chest.
Just like the ones at the Shipwright.
It wouldn't be all that essential but it could be handy here and there. -
High Value Quests for Sail.
Sometimes in the Sea Post Owner's Stock there'll be a Parchment for sail.
It'll be a high value Quest such as a treasure map to an island with 7 X marks the spot on it or a Merchant delivery order for like 5 gold Animals.
This idea would be a rare spawn and would not be available at every Sea Post all the time. -
Purchasable Gunpowder Barrels & Cursed Cannonballs.
I think in the Sea Post Owner's Stock there should be Gunpowder Barrels & Cursed Cannonballs for sale sometimes.
So for example:
There would be 2 Cursed Cannonballs for sale and 1 Gunpowder Barrel for sale. -
Exclusive Cosmetics.
This one would be pretty hard to implement, so my idea is just to do some color changes on pre-existing cosmetics and randomly have them for sale at the Sea Posts.
So for example: There'll be the Shores of Plenty Sea Dog's Jacket for sale, it would be a yellow Sea Dog's jacket instead of the regular red one. -
The End.
Well lads & lasses, those are my ideas on improving Sea Posts, let me know what ya think of em.
And do tell me your ideas on making Sea Posts more relevant.
Until then see ya on the seas!
