Giant evil, spiders.

I'd love to see terrifying giant spiders scurrying towards you with sinister intentions or perhaps to dangle down on a thick silky Web in front of you during cavern exploration. They slow you down by spittimg venom similar to a snake bite of some kind or maybe loot hoarding spiders cursed intelligence? Would be interesting to see spiders and different varietys, like the skeleton crews.
