Gamescon/Dev update rant

    I'm fine with stuff being exclusive, even though I've now missed out on the Huntress on 3 occasions. I'm starting to think Joanna Dark has cursed me for never having finished Perfect Dark.

    I do really wish that this particular figurehead wasn't so hard to get right now but that's because it's the one I like best, I'm Irish, so the sight of a heavily armed red haired maiden stirs something profoundly in my celtic heart.

    On the other hand though, if we take the Huntress as an example of the sort of quality cosmetics Rare are capable of I'm sure it won't be long before Rare drop something that makes me forget all about Joanna, her magestic ginger beauty and her flintlocks. The new athena's figurehead is already giving the huntress a run for her money.

    I do believe everyone there that wants to meet Joe and the crew does so for meeting them and not for the "exclusive items". I would have loved to go to Gamescom to have a chat with them but unfortunately missed out on tickets.

    As for the items, I believe they stated on twitter that nobody should pay absurd prices for cosmetics they give away at these kinds of events because all of them will eventually become available to everyone. When you look at pictures of the Joanna Dark figure head it even has a disclaimer stating it'll be exclusive for 60 days.

    This wouldn't be a problem if this game wasn't still incredibly short on content. The cosmetics in this cosmetics only game are quite slim.

    @hrubixcube Thanks very much for the feedback on this, you raise a very valid point and your rant is actually very eloquently put! We definitely have more work to do here in terms of getting our community visibility on when these items go in game, but please don't think it's your fellow pirates being at fault for going to these events. It's important everyone feels rewarded, both those at the show and those at home, we at Rare just need to do a better job on the latter.
