Eye of Reach Scope

  • Why can’t we purchase versions of the eye of reach that do not have a scope? It wouldn’t be a forced feature, it would be perfectly optional. Myself and other friends would 9/10 opt to a no scoped version of the eye of reach, to be fair it would be more realistic based on the timeline.

  • Yeah, the scopes are a bit silly. But they do fulfill a realistic function. Pirate musketeers had a reputation for being incredibly accurate.

  • @genuine-heather yes, and they can stay that way, it could be perfectly optional to have a no-scoped variant of the gun.

  • My guess is it's balance. If you had a pistol that could fire for 80 damage, or a pistol that could fire for 50 damage, which would you chose? The current setup requires you to sacrifice the ease of closer engagements by making you either hip fire or somehow manage scoping while super close. If there was a sniper with no scope, that retained the damage, it would be the clear go-to choice.

This could be easily balanced out by a slower aiming sensitivity or reduced draw speed into the ADS form but it’s whatever either way.
