Was the Megalodon made less agro in the recent update?

    As someone who loves the addition of the Megalodon as a roaming threat who could attack your sloop or galleon at any moment. I’ve noticed all the encounters I’ve had with it since the update have been that it no longer follows you for long, or attacks.

    It just kinda shows up, circles for a bit, does this whale like jump out of the water, and then swims away. At least on all my encounters.

    I know they said they changed some behavior patterns in the patch, but I had to voice my disappointment if it has been nerfed. One of the great things about it was the challenge, and surprise when it attacked. To try to get away afloat, and intact.

    I could also say the Kraken isn’t aggressive enough though. So I was just wondering if anyone had similar experiences, or not since the patch?

    One of them definitely still does attack... There are different variants of the Meg around though so maybe you have been "lucky" to - since the update - only come across the less aggressive one?

    Ol Meg bit our sloops backside last night. We ended up killing her after a bit. Was gonna leave her alone, but she got cray.
    Was hoping for some sort of acknowledgement after not being able to best her during the actual event... Though it did feel way easier than what I had seen on YouTube during the event.
    Still was pretty cool to have the encounter

    Sound like maybe I’ve just not encountered it at the right time then. Thanks! I was wondering since around the 4th or 5th time it did that since the update.

    Last nigt killd one, but i noticed that hes colour dont change to white. It stay the normal color to the end.

    There's a couple of kinds, some more aggressive than others, also if you really want to fight it anchor down, in the event she never strayed out of L26 (or wherever it was), if you fire upon it it will definitely attack, but it's had a Nerf cos it's not the Meg, just one of the other ones

    Just for comparison before the patch I had encounters where it followed us from one end of the map to another.

    It followed us to a raid once from the other end of the map. Almost every time it attacked at least once or more in the encounter no matter when it popped up. It seemed rare to get an encounter where it didn’t unless you were close to land.

    Which is why I was confused by the behavioral patterns the times I ran into it afterward, but apparently those worries were somewhat unwarranted given everyone’s comments.

    I’ve just run into the wrong one over, and over since the patch.

    I met the Meg 3 times on solo sloop since it was released, always when arriving at an outpost with loot. Never attacked me yet but I did hold my breath^^
