A compass that doesn't point north

    Here is a little story about a bug I just discovered that instantly made me feel like Jack Sparrow. It really did made me giggle for a while, I just couldn't get my compass to point north... at all.

    I've already send out a bug report, this is what I put in there:

    I just got grabbed by the Kraken. Upon returning to my ship through the mermaid, my compass was broken. For a moment it made me feel like Jack Sparrow (i.e. a compass that doesn't point north), but it became apparent that my role as captain of the ship was about to get a little hard.
    Attached you'll find an image. I'm at the dock of Sanctuary, facing Keel Haul Fortress. This is supposed to be west-ish but, as you can see, is now south.

    I later discovered that the issues disappeared when going ashore, but resurfaced when boarding my ship. So it's limited to the ship.

    I often need to specify 'Oops, I mean the other North...'

    I’m going to this excuse the next time I give the wrong direction (I do all the time and I’m the navigator) I just tell my buddy that the compas is busted lol

    Did you follow it? Maybe you stumbled upon something secret.
    Personally, I would have followed the alt North to see where I went. I'm guessing from Sanctuary Outpost this would have taken you to Lonely Isle or Hidden Spring if my memory serves me. Maybe there is something there.... In fact, forget I said anything, the treasures mine!!

    never seen that one before. Unfortunately Warranty for your compass ended a few hundred years ago. Have you tried turning it off and on again? (aka choosing another compass skin)

    Nice trolling, sir...

    For the ones that don't know: in this game the needle of the compass always points into the direction you are looking and the "display" twists

    Clearly the Kraken there is magnetic, messing with yer instruments, the only feasible explanation!

    @schwammlgott he's not trolling. if you look at the map, he's facing west, but the compass shows it as south.
