Hmm, interesting. I've known this map like the back of my hand for quite some time. Perhaps a photoshop? Maybe something from pre-alpha? Even Lookout Point is all wrong. For starters, it's not even facing the right way. It's supposed to face the East.

You're missing the point. In the photo you shared, you asked where that island was. We don't know. What we do know is it was meant to be next to Lookout Point, and we're saying that Lookout Point is next to Sharkbait Cove.
Hence me saying it's likely either a photoshop, or a pre-alpha photo.
@capta1n-cr0ss I know... I'm not focused on lookout point... :P But regardless perhaps you are right.. It looks quite a nice island on the map imo.

@musicmee Perhaps you can confirm something for me then. I could have sworn in at least the first beta that Crows Nest Fortress (I think that's the one near Ancient Spire Outpost) was much more vertical with lots of ladders and the whole thing kind of wrapped around a large rock.
Does that sound familiar at all? The first place I ever spawned was Ancient Spire and the place I just described was the first place I sailed to. It wasn't far away because I just sailed to the first land I saw.
@xcalypt0x It all does sound familiar matey... a lot of the islands have changed during prelaunch updates - The Crows Nest was one of them.
@musicmee That was a special moment for me, sailing there in my sloop :') Too bad they changed it to the generic fort layout it has now :/
I'm really hoping in the future all forts will have a unique layout. Some of the inactive ones already do.

@xcalypt0x Agreed! I love the tall forts that are not currently being used. Once they are enabled they will be trickier forts to take down...
@mad-jack-ketch If my memory serves me well i think this was from alpha/beta they changed a few of the islands as noted above.
