I'd report this as an official bug if I could find my way through the website, but i'm failing miserably over here so decided i'd just make a post about it here in the meantime on the off-chance a developer swings by and spots it.
So today i've decided it's time to officially report this bug - I don't know why it finally occurred to me to do it now, but essentially what's been happening since about 3-4 patches ago is this...
Scenario: Enemy tries to board, begins climbing ladder, takes a shot directly to the face as they're ascending said ladder, knock back is not at all a knock back and instead a knock up [yarr harr], enemy lands on deck and begins causing chaos.
PvP, as you may know is a big focus of this game for me and has been since day one. Coming from experience, boarders are CRUCIAL in deciding the outcome of naval combat, and this bug is making me lose scenarios I otherwise shouldn't be losing.
An example today was this: Approached a galleon at a fort with my friend [we were on a sloop]. We sneak in, get behind them, open fire, see a few of them making an attempt to board.. I see this, start taking them out, but this glitch occurs and the enemy pirate lands behind my friend on the cannon in range to 1 shot kill him before he can even be warned. That leaves me against the rest of the crew who is also trying to board.. Long story short - the enemy gets lucky with this glitch, takes out my one and only teammate, and they succeed to win this fight which started off in our favour, but due to this glitch, ends up in theirs. Not sure how this can be fixed, but we need it to be fixed at some point soon!
