Now this suggestion may sound dumb, but there are the NPCs such as the general clothing shop, shipwrights, equipment shop and weapons shop. I feel like it would be a nice addition to be able to do more with them and go on small side quests you receive from them.
Quests like having to take a crate of wood to another shipwrights or even passing a message to another outpost in exchange for gold. I feel like this would be a good way to earn special quest items like perhaps something like a new hat or eye patch from a clothing store if you continue to help them, or even something as simple as getting some spare gold.
