Lost map pieces

  • New shiney collectable which the player keeps between each session. Torn incomplete maps. Once you'd foind all of them you could put them together like a jigsaw to find an unique chest containing gold and a limited time clothing set

  • @guybrush3pwood2 i want it

  • @jorin33 the location of the chest would have to be different for each player. Can't have the location freely available online so people could get the rewaed without collecting the peices.

  • @guybrush3pwood2 so in the menu you see the amount of pieces you have and how many you need. once it's finished. you can go dig it up. the amount of pieces you have is saved between sessions.

  • @jorin33 or perhaps it could be a large detailed map of one latge island which you have to piece together as you go. If you can work out which island it is beofre collecting all the parts then fine.
This would work well with the new volcanic area Rare are launching because players won't know the islands like the back of theit hands yet

  • @guybrush3pwood2 Wow matey! I love this idea...

Maybe even make it part of the standard gold hoarder quests where you hunt down pieces of a torn map on the island you are on to find out where the treasure is buried.

  • @musicmee like the idea of making it a new standard gold hoarders quest type. It would add a new nice little bit of quest variety which would be great!

  • @guybrush3pwood2 a map leads you to an island. where you can find the pieces to a map. which leads you to an island where you can find the pieces for a map. and this can go on forever. for every map you complete you get a doubloon. if you're Lucky the map spree might end and you get a cursed chest unique that quest. the cursed chest gives you a map when sold, instead of gold and rep. which leads to an island where you can find map pie.... you get the idea.

  • @guybrush3pwood2 I like it. Make it so.

  • Just noticed, during the game intro, there's a moment where three pirates are piecing together a map split into 3 torn sections... perhaps this is something they're already planning...
