Level Reward Balancing

  • This is my own idea of SoT that I think would make a lot of players happy:

The current system for leveling and rewards (to my knowledge) are the higher the level you are in a certain group (Merchant Alliance, Order of Souls, Gold Hoarders) the more things you collect on a voyage (more chests, animals, skulls). I think that the way it should be is that instead of an increased quantity of items, there should be an increase in $ per item. I believe that this would make more sense because if there is a level 2 player in gold hoarders doing a level 30 mission, they will most likely make the same amount of money as their partner (the person who purposed the voyage which is level 30 in gold hoarders) this seems unfair. The reward should depend on the person who receives it. If (in this situation) the amount of gold per chest changed for each person, it would be more balanced.

This is just my idea, of anyone else would like to talk about this topic, feel free to reply to this post!

  • I like this idea, rarity should depend on the level of the person who chooses the voyage, However, I disagree with your idea that reward should change between people in the group. People with higher levels, therefore, better reputation should have better voyages with better rewards for everyone. It makes sense that you would like to play with people who have really high reputation levels, since you know that their voyages will have better loot. The problem is that even at higher levels, players are still getting low rarity chests, furthermore, the rewards are abysmal.

  • yea its strange to buy a legendary merch voyage and pull 2 black chickens that sell for 600 each. or in my case for level 40 gold hoarder gives you one map with a castaway chest that doesn't even register on the rep bar, what a joke. how are you supposed to level up with that?
