I am 44 43 40. Should I spend dabs on rep or clothes? Can’t decide and need help.
What should I spend bilge rats dabs on?
@vipor51 Firstly, if you are going to shorten the word then please use 'Dubs'. Secondly, that's all up to you, your choices are clothes, rep and gold. The clothes, however, are temporary. So get them while you can.
@zippyjarl At Lvl 40 Order of Souls I got about 1/3 of a level. I personally used my 100 dubs to buy the hat/jacket and 2 OoS rep envelopes.
Tip: You will have to leave the session or go to a second bilge rat to buy the 2nd rep of the same type if purchasing all at once.@vipor51 The game is all about cosmetics and you can get reputation as well as gold all the time, at least for me, it's a clear "take the time limited cloth!".
@vipor51 Definitely buy the limited time items because they're only in the store for a week (I think); of course if you don't like the items on offer then by all means just use it to increase your rep. I haven't actually been on since the update but I can't see myself using dubloons to purchase gold as I think it seems kind of pay-to-play-ish and I can farm gold quite easily.
@vipor51 It really all depends on what you want, but I would recommend getting the clothes first. After that, it's up to you. I personally think rep is the best option, but if you want a new cosmetic gold is the way to go. On the other hand, if you can't decide, you could just not use the doubloons for anything, and wait until the next event.

My suggestion is ONLY clothes and save the other 40 for other events. The reputation it gives you is not worth it. We are talking about the same amount as a stronghold skull for a unique currency that can't be farmed or replaced in any way atm.
Gold? If you play the game enough you can buy everything and still have around 2 million with no idea what to do with them.

Go to any tavern on any outpost and talk to Duke. He’ll let you browse his wares.
@vipor51 I’ve spent mine on the jacket and hat purely because they’re exclusive to the challenge. I’m saving the rest for future content
