Is being AFK a bannable offense?

  • First of all, don get the wrong idea. Im not going to afk farm for loot because that is very scummy. I am just curious as to whether or not it is an actual bannable offense? I havent found anything clear about what things can get you banned (besides cheating of course).
I just want to know if toxic behavior and afk farming can get you banned.

Afk people arent really a peoblem anymore because they (thank god) added the private crew option. I just still want to know

  • @hunty-guy Yes you can record a screen shot and send it it.
what they do is play another game or watch something while other players join in and do all the work. This was a huge problem before the open and closed crews. But we still have a few that do it.
What I have heard is that if you can record/show proof that they are in the same spot for hours upon hours then they will do something about it. I hope anyways LOL

If you record someone being AFK for hours upon hours, wouldn't that mean you're actually doing the same as them?

  • @fishst1ck Like if they are on the ferry record them for a min or so the if you happen to go back onto the ferry like 30min to a hour later and they are in the same spot, then record it again.

Personally not a fan of the cross play just for reasons like this. But hey what I can I do about it. not a damn thing.
every time I see a afk player I always repot them no matter what.

What does this have to do with crossplay? You can attach a rubberband to your controller to do AFK leeching too...

Not really. I've seen players spinning on the spot on the ship of the damned and every time I went there, they are still there in the same spot spinning.

  • @fishst1ck I disagree when I first started playing I went out to smoke and I didn't want to get lagged out. well I did the rubberband thing, and while I was smoking I got distracted on my phone. And when I came back I was lagged out for inactivity. and I made sure my person was moving. I have not left my person alone since just for that reason. And lets be real about the amount of ''cheaters'' on PC compared to xbox……..

  • @stroro Exactly. Like when you die from a mission or pirate and they are still there on the ferry...…. so yea I would not be doing the same as them like stroro stated

  • This is exactly why I made this thread....
