@carlosylu So.... You like arguing with p*****n biggits? That's all that I ever get in game chat... I'll stay in my party and talk to my friends :)
I guess they added the megaphone for you to use the party chat hum...?
Don't base your desitions in past experiences, there are funny pirates out there, you just need to keep looking, and stop playing in "easy mode". Try to board or do tactics with your crew knowing the enemy can hear you, now that's a good game experience right there.
They should know people use parties.. not my fault they added something useless to the game lol.
People were begging for grabbing hooks and we get a megaphone....
All you get from game chat is racial slurs, homophobic insults and people screaming...
I don't need to hear my victims when I slay them.
You might find a use for the Megaphone when your party chat boat is getting swarmed by a fleet of ships who've had enough of being your victims. That's the thing, it's a new tool, we can use it for whatever we want, or not use it at all. That doesn't make having a new tool to use a bad thing for the game.
I personally think that the megaphone was a very smart way for Rare to try to encourage more people to use in-game chat, without forcing them to.
I also personally think that in a few weeks time, the days of fearing a KOS duo on a sloop will be gone, to be replaced by fearing a KOS gank squad of sloops. That may suck for a bit, particularly for solo sloopers, but it will lead to teaming up for survival being a thing, which will lead to more fleets, which will lead to more fleet battles.
Rare are letting the game grow organically, which means planting the seeds and letting them develop.
