This be a tale of how I beat the Megalodon. It all started when I whent to the spot that you need to summon the beast. There was another boat off in the area as well. There wernt close so I gave them no mind. I decided to wait for boats that want to summon the Megalodon to show up by playing a shantie that was not Merriks shantie. As I noticed the other galleon slowly approch my sloop, I could not help but to notice a massive explosion happen at my sloops rear that nearly killed me.
I ran to patch my sloop and was at it for some time. Concern for my safety was on my mind at all times as I heard the occasional thunder of cannons. When I repaired and saw nothing had hit me since then, I ran to the top deck to see what was happening. I saw the other ship, heard the music, and after looking around trying to piece together what I was seeing, I saw the Megalodon attack the galleon.
I am very ashamed to say that this next part was not me at my best. As I was trying to also fight the Megalodon, I did not do much. The Megalodon and the galleon were in constant movement. I spent to much time trying to keep up with them to contribute to much. I did fire many shots at the shark, but almost all missed. Many prime shots were not made caused I had to turn my ship to be able to aim at. I did get it a some point. Then it turned to me. I did my best, but my best was at this point was again, keeping my ship afloat. I suffered many attacks but eventually they stopped. Judging by the music though, the shark just changed target. Repairs done, I went up to battle again. Same problems as before, only now another guy on my ship. I think he was from the galleon. I paid him no mind. Seemed harmless but useless not contributing to anything but hey, to each there own. He shot me dead while I was shooting at the megalodon.
After my resurrection, I went to battle again. The guy was gone. I had trouble as before, could not keep up, had to spend time turning instead of shooting, more then before, waves blocking my shots. I did land a second hit on the thing, then it came for me again. I did as before, tried to shoot it again, but just missed and had to repair my ship. But this time, I ran out of wood planks. Knowing that my ship was done for, I fired myself out of my cannon in the dirrection of the galleon. I saw something big under the water. So I took aim and fired my pistol mid air. I did notice that it was shark shaped and had a few white lines with white letters right in front of it, about where I was aiming. I think that I did hit something so if I did you instead of the Meg, I am sorry. Continuing, I landed in the water. and tried to make for the galleon. I did not swim far when I noticed that there were a lot of sharks around as well. As you can guess, I was eaten quickly. I found my self in a familiar place. A few seconds later however, I saw a commendation unlock prompt. The beast had been killed.
I was still cold and was given the task to go see merrik. So when I ressurected again, I knew where I had to go. And wouldnt you know it, I came back on Shark Bait Cove. Convinent, isnt it.
