The game seems to run at a smooth 60 fps on Mythical except when looking in particular directions. For a while I thought it was just dropping due to extra load but today I spent some time trying to narrow it down and found that while my fps normally sputters between 59/60 fps, as normal, while looking at certain things it would drop to 29/30. now a random number would make sense for it being performance issues, but steady 29/30 for several minutes straight is an fps cap being imposed. I narrowed that down further to a lit lantern and a torch on Golden Sands causing the cap, but it went away when I got close and looked directly at them. Then I figured it out. Looking at the shadows they cast caused the cap to come back. It was there at every shadow level until common, when it shot back up to 59/60. Why are certain shadows imposing an fps cap? Anyone have any ideas and/or a fix? (besides turning off shadows....)
PC: Anyone else experience a 30 FPS cap when looking at particular shadows?
@tallgeeseiiii I wish.
My game never runs above 20 FPS. And it hardly ever hits that 20 mark. Usually 15 to 17.I have taken a screenshot of myself standing still on the dock at an outpost with my back to the water and nobody in front of me. In broad daylight.
My FPS was 12. :/
