I think it would be a great addition to add a small table on the ship that the crew can use to play Liar’s Dice. This would kill time for bored crew members while sailing long distances and/or be a fun addition for players who just want to take a break and play a minigame with friends.
In my opinion the game needs more little things to keep the game fresh.
Liar’s Dice
I have a whole thread dedicated to Social Activities that include dice games - you should check it out. Granted, rather than Liar's Dice, I've suggested an 18th Century game called Mia that is similar in nature but more fitting the "time period" hinted at in this game.
One of the few things they didn't dodge an answer on for the reddit AMA was that they decided any side games would negatively impact the immersion. I wouldn't hold my breath on any of these.
As a side note I wouldn't be in favor of any of these things on a ship. The last thing I need is something else distracting crewmates. There is almost always something to do on a galleon.
@biannualorc022 just dice in general would be fun, the lore book has so many games that you can play but they almost all require dice

How about the games are in the tavern instead of on the boat?
