Did it happened to you that, when you're in a RAID a ship comes to fight, you sink them, later, they come another time (its normal) you sink them another time, and later, they come another time, and you sink them. That thing like 5 times. So, what if, after the same ships sink you, the game changes you to another server. I think this idea could resolve a lot of toxicity issues, like Outposts campers, annoying people in the raids etc....
For those annoying people in the Sea of Thieves.
@eggamer13 yep. that's what we've been suggesting for a while now. I guess it's not as easy as it may seem. like how do you handle players still alive on the server, standing on an isle with a treasure, while others are dead and respawn on a new one with the ship.
i agree with this post. two times sunk by a cannon from the same ship should put you in another server.
do it like they do all the other stuff. ship sinks and a mermaid comes to change server. you die you show up there automatically. you are alive you stay where you are til you die or use the mermaid. if someone sank you again shouldnt be long before they or a shark kills you and if you sneak off then have fun playing alone with no ship.
i dont think its fair to 'contain' toxic people with yourself. but i also dont think its necessarily toxic to return to the skull fort. thats there call and its a looonngg sail especially multiple times. but i think the game needs to step in for those insanely determined folk and direct them to another server to do something else or have a shot at a different skull fort.
@musicmee I wouldn't call it toxic behaviour to be honest, its just the current game mehcanics allow it to happen. I have been on both ends of the stick on this, as I'm sure many have. The respawn distance still hasn't fixed the issue either.
On some servers there's a skull fort event and on some others there's not.
It's unfair to be "bad" and still willing to fight for a fort and get change to another server.
They are not "annoying", they fighting for chests, it's different. If you want to do an event solo, then... do like every other crybabies pve players. Do a post about pve... =sIf you don't want to fight them so much, just do the event faster man ^^.
@octopus-lime Also not keen on calling it toxic behavior either... my comment was just a generalised point about moving "toxic" players to other servers... It just doesn't work for everyone else.
:)
@eggamer13 Don't go to skull forts if you don't want pvp the whole point of making the skull visible to everyone in the server is to encourage it.
@fishst1ck Hehehe I see where you are going with this one... but not all people who are sunk at forts are the ones you want moving to another server...
It's going to be a tricky one to solve but I think player reporting really needs to be more prevalent and the game should be more selective about which players are matchmade with others.
@musicmee I'm actually really excited for fleets of ships working together to complete things like special events but I wouldn't say its worth working together to do a skull fort they have a pretty low difficulty compared to high lvl OOS and you can clear them out pretty quick if your ship works as a team.
@a-sp4c3m4n Im not saying that i dont want to fight, of course I want if Im going to a fort, but im saying that people who comes to sink them and loose your and their time.
@a-sp4c3m4n Yeah, totally agree and for me, the loot out of forts now has been considerably lower than in the past.
But maybe once in a while, it might be nice to try work cooperatively at a fort... it can pay off sometimes.
Also looking forward to the new cooperative challenge the hungering deep might bring and the weekly events too...

Doesn't really work that well, because some of the PvE players in this game tend to stash their treasure on an island if they know they're being chased, so they can lure the agressive crew away from their treasure, intentionally get sunk, then go back to the island and fetch their treasure... This is a valid strategy that would not be possible if one gets transferred to a new server if you get sunk.
So i don't think we should do that... However, i think it would be reasonable to start a server-transfer vote from the ship of the damned, as an option instead of being forced to change servers when you get sunk... Just in case someone isn't happy with the scuttle ship function.
