Disclaimer: I love SoT!
I particularly love the environment, however, I could never put my finger on the slight disconnect I feel when sailing, or when I am on a ledge overlooking (the beautifully rendered) oceans.. there is very little noise! once of the best things about standing on beach, or on the edge of a cliff is the sound.. the crashing of the waves below, the whistling of the Wind, screaching of gulls. I feel that this is missing from the game and takes away some of the immersion. Just feels a little too quiet sometimes, and this throws me out of the zone somewhat.

@tachyongray I never thought about this but now you mention it hell yes... especially gulls when you are nearing sunken ships etc with all the birds flying above... and the wind whistling which increases in a storm.. crash of the waves during a storm, or the gentle movement of water on the shore.. God that would be so little but add so much to the immersion!
