The title says enough this game is garbage now ships popping up at fort non stop, because people just server hop for forts. I will not replay to any posts so don't even try commenting how i am noob how the game is awesome and so on.
This server hopping BS needs to stop.
I don't see how it's a problem. You have options.
- Don't do a fort.
- Do a fort and win.
- Do a fort and lose.
Just because someone is having a hard time, SOMETIMES, doesn't mean the entire game needs to change.
Forts are supposed to be tough. You often times have to battle over a fort. That's the point.
@captainflintkin ships constantly turning up at your fort is not defiantly people server hoping after all if the server is full they cant hop onto it anyway so could generally just be people already on the server fighting over it
@dislex-fx forts are a joke and doing a fort takes 15 min 30 max if it takes longer there is no point doing it. Server hopping is a huge problem there are even discords channels dedicated to that. Its total BS the extended respawn distance is pointless if u keep getting new ships popping up on the server going only for the fort. They don't care how far the respawned because the only joined the server to do the fort.
I don't think I have ever server hopped other than to start a new game when a new friend jumps online and I have to go from a sloop to a galleon. I spend over 5-6 hours some nights with my crew on a single server. There are other things to do and have fun with than to constantly start from scratch just to find a fort.
Does anyone know how long it takes a skull to respawn after a fort is completed?
@captainflintkin how far was you from the outposts how you know the galleons had not stopped there to sell loot before they came to fort while you was looking at the other outposts there is lots of explanations or maybe they did just spawn in but that is not always the case I did a fort last night no ship turned up at all its just RnG

You don't have to reply, i'm going to agree... In addition to this, the server hopping is stressing the servers, people constantly going in and out of the server just to abuse the skeleton fort...
Rare have said that people should stay inside the server once in, specifically to prevent the servers from getting overloaded with information.
@captainflintkin, we do forts all the time. There have been an equal amount of only us as there have been other ships.
The fun is always being on edge and worrying about other ships showing up. Sometimes we take over a fort and kill those already there. Do they show up again? Of course. Why would you just give up?
YOU KNOW that forts are going to be fought over often. If forts are too tough for YOU, don't do them, or pirate up and be ready.
Stop trying to change the game so that it's easier for you.
@captainflintkin You can't confirm that they were server hopping, though. They could just be logging in for the first time that day. I've logged into the game with a fort already up, so it's not like it's something that never happens.
@captainflintkin How do you know they are "server hopping"? This is like the console vs. PC arguments...How do you know they are on a PC?
@touchdown1504 there are some easy ways to tell if they are on pc. like if they type a custom message. or if they can hear game chat while in party chat. or when they say im on pc.
I have a method to me Fort madness that I will not disclose, lest ye thieves try to muscle in on me loot....and it does not involve any hopping.

@wisespade7 No s**t! But in general, folks making these argument don't know, just like the OP doesn't know if these were server hoppers...unless of course they typed it in or chatted "hey we are here to hop the server".
Doing uncontested skullforts all of the time is boring... I love it when there is some naval warfare involved... except maybe all of you terrorists on sloops... cant actually win the battle against a galleon so you just harass and annoy, make it take longer and still dont get any of the loot... curses upon your ship and treasure!
