Hey there,
this forum has seen its fair share of people complaining about the state of the game and about Rare for several reasons. Even though I can relate and understand and even share some of those opinions, there are ofc quite some opinions that are just opinions without any good reason or factual ground on which they were 'build' upon. One thing that kept coming up as a rumor was, that the team at Rare was actually down to a couple of people now that the game is launched, fearing that we would never ever see good quality content in the future simply to the fact that Rares SoT team would be understaffed. I am not going into an arguement wether that is true or not or how contract work is being handled or any other game-dev business. I think there is information on that matter in the latest podcast, which might have been missed in the midst of it.
Check out this bit from the latest podcast, below I noted the important bits:

Loose Transcript:
E. Bridle: I think its a really wonderful position to be in [...] people constantly say 'We love this, we want more,... give us more!' That's a great position to be in.
C. Duncan: If only we had a dev-team working on more stuff!
E. Bridle: I know, that would be useful!
-laughter-
C. Duncan: [...] This is a multi year journey for us, we are a hundred percent commited and supporting SoT. We have [...] a hundered and plus developers working on future content right now and we continue to build on the great platform we build as a game as was always the plan. [...]
I hope this silences some concerns.
