i dont get it

  • Why are there so many moaners and whiners within the community. Even on Facebook im seeing the same c**p over and over.

*They kill us for no reason
    *No one is friendly
    *They just grief me
    *I want private lobbies

Jesus C****t get a grip of your selves will ya, i love a bit of pvp me but i also think its a perfect balance. I bet that the players who are complaining just have no clue about this game. They dont understand, or have the brains to deal in a pvp situation, if you love strict PVE why have you bought a game that has PVP within it doesnt make sense. Then you complain on the forums praying that they will change things.

I agree as a pvper there are some things in the past that were naff but are now fixed. I also think it will be great in the future of the game. You simply cannot play a "pirate" game and say things are not fair. Classic "They attacked us we had nothing even on us, what was the point" The point is how are they supposed to know - its called an element of surprise you might win you might not. That's Life!

PVP is simple. Sink the boat Kill the players; Tip for Free.

Just use a little common sense in the PvP of the game and you'll do fine. Dont eat to many bananas!

  • @moodeightyeight I get where people are coming from, I just don't always agree with their reasonings. I'm with ya on the whole PvP concept, and even as I don't PvP much, I know it'd be more or less a mandatory part of a pirate MMO.

But to get to the point; People will ALWAYS complain about little things that don't suit them in any game, and it's not really new. I recall almost 2 decades ago playing Runescape, and the forums were filled with the same sort of posts. Ban this, ban that, Wilderness shouldn't be forced PvP etc. And I actually don't mind that people complain, it's certainly their right. But it's also our right to say that we disagree with them, and generally people here seem to be in strong favour of the current system. I've yet to see a "make PvP optional" post that wasn't instantly challenged by opposing opinion. So while I agree that we notice the complainers more, because people satisfied with the game don't tend to make posts about that, I'd say this community is overall very happy with the current direction of SoT :)
