Endless PVP Battles (after Rares spawn spot changes) because of the Spawn distance ! How to solve this Problem ?

  • Yeah i know ... Rare already changed the distance between the spawn spots ....but the result of that isn't what it should be . Endless PVP continues....

Here is in my opinion the only way to get rid of this problem:

If the same Ship gets sunk into the PVP battle 5 times (into a special time period) then transfer it and the crew to another Server instance or on another Server and declare the other Ship and his crew to the winner of this PVP battle.

Thats the only way to make careless Players more caring about the own health and integrity of the own ship. Because a 5 times sunken ship and crew can't come back a sixth time.

I agree and this is my suggestion

  • Honestly they should be moved to a new server after being sunk twice. They get one chance for revenge.

That's also a nice idea . The endless Battles must have an end !

  • And then you end up all alone on an empty server? You sure you want that?

I love the chance of a long lasting battle. Why take this opportunity from players? If you don't want to fight, you can run.

A crew must work to get their ship back. Ships aren't cheap.

No you dont, migration happens behind the scenes. Pull out the griefers aftet constantly beeing sunk, pull in a new crew or a crew thats not currently active.

The spawn distance fix is a joke, we died 3 times at a fort last night and was able to come back VERY quickly. Same for the other 2 sloops who were in the battle, we even saw them spawn several times WITHIN SIGHT.

rare has no idea w*f they are doing..

How are you guys clearing forts? Depending on the situation you should only see whoever you sunk one extra time compared to 6-7 prior.

If you use the "doorway" strat to spam sword, u can clear every fort within 10 mins. Also to increase speed have 1 player suicide bomb goldies on spawn as well.

Situation 1: You show up at empty fort. Takes about 1 minute to park. galleon shows up after first wave. You barrel them obviously and gg keep clearing the fort. At best they show up right at the captain wave or as you have the key in your hands. Sink them again and the loot is yours.

Situation 2: You show up to a fort with an enemy ship there. Sinking them can be tricky but simply shoot 2 players over and have them board/barrel. Park your ship quick. We ussually ram into rock, anchor then raise sails/anchor. Takes about 1 minute. Depending on the amount of waves they cleared you should be able to clear all waves, and load loot completely, at most you may be intercepted headed to the outpost.

The respawn system definitely fixed the MAJORITY of issues with respawn. NOT ALL obviously, but i'd rather just have to sink someone twice then 8 times like prior.

Complete BULL man. We do forts the fastest way possible, we use cannons to clear waves, herding all of them into 1-2 cannonball shots, it takes 2-5 minute per wave, depending on what skellies spawn. Ranged skellies dont hurdle up, so they need to be manually killed.

However, the spawn system allows other players to come back within 5-10 minutes, and each encounter with a decent crew can take 30 minutes, and thats more than enough time for even more boats to join in on the madness.

You are describing a perfect day here, nothing more.

  • @haxxorsauruz please add me, ill show you how to do a proper skull fort clear. not being sarcastic i will actually show you how to clear it and you will be like omg this is too easy. ill be on tomorrow all day.

  • @thejaberwock123 you're correct. after the respawn patch i was like 45 ish in everything. we did 16 forts that day, then another 16 the day after. Over the last 4-5 days i've done 3-4. We've only seen 1 crew show back up 3 times and thats because we had only 2 players clearing skellies while 2 others were dealing with 3 sloops attempting to take it. All the other crews we've run into never make it past the 2nd time before were gone with the loot or turned in.

  • @freecellqt yeah my Last post I threw down in the wrong thread but ironically it was still pertinent but yeah its a lot easier to drive people off now. I have no issues getting people to decide my skull forts ain't worth it. I think it's just one of those things where instead of asking for the dev's to make pvp easier we should just collectively get better at it. Plus we have new content coming in that might change pvp.

  • Im sorry to tell you but you wrong, killing the skeletons with the doorway tactic and inside the fort is much faster then the cannon ball way, but you right i do fort with my crew in 10mints sometimes as a 3 man crew, and if we fight another ship for the fort on the beginning they usually coming back right at the end / boss . its understandable, i dont like it but its still a pirate game and fighting the same crew 2 times seems fair i guess since the game is dying

you dont really get issues with the same crew when server hopping though lol

Long lasting battle ? Did you ever had a 6 hour real time long PVP battle with the same enemy Players because after they sunk they came everytime back again ? Did you ever had a PVP battle near a Fort raid against 2 Slopps and 2 other Galleons or even against more Ships and enemy players because all player on the server are up to win the raid ? OMG we had luck that one sloop and one galleon sunk after a while so we had to deal for the next 2 minutes long only with the other sloop and the other Galleon...but the sunken ships came back ...... and about 6 hours long no one was able to finish the raid because of the endless pvp.. The Raid itself isn't the big problem...if you are able to make the raid without to get disturbed. Long battles are ok but not endless ones ! And about the "run" .. where to ? If the raid is camped from many Players and ships .. or the 3 islands they are in the same area are camped from players but unlucky you have to find your treasures on these islands.... then you can't run.. and if you do then they will follow you and the result of that will be a endless chase hunt in circles.. no one can run away forever. But if you stay and fight and if you make the enemy sink ...that's also doesn't matter because 2 minutes later the enemy will be back . Normally a fight ends with the sunken ship but a sunken ship into this game is the beginning of a endless fight..

  • I definitely think players who get sunk in PvP should be migrated to another server. There needs to be actual consequences to sinking that does not penalize players, and this seems like a fair way to do it. Would actually make people think twice about certain battles and may curb some of the more suicidal rush tactics. It would also solve a lot of griefing issues as players would no longer be able to stalk and harass other crews all over the map.

  • @kranickel l**o if I kick your a*s. you don't deserve to come back lol. In what world would you?

yes, exactly that I had last night. A 5 hour back and forth battle at a fort with multiple boats and the ever same crews. PHANTASTIC! It was such a great joy. And I think if people wouldn't have enjoyed it, they wouldn't have returned there. By the time it took, I guess nobody was there for the value/time of the loot, but just for the raging longlasting action.

    all games non-last-man-standing ;)

  • @kranickel

It's great if you had a great time that way .. and yes your opponents may have the same great time with you ...this time. But that doesn't count for everyone and every time.

Sounds great .. next time you call me and my crew .. we will make the raid then meanwhile you and your opponents make enjoyable but senseless PVP with each other....without that we will be involved into the pvp of course.. and with the result that we get the booty..
