Riddles Suck. Give more Chests.

  • As the title says, Riddles Suck. We all know this from a progress perspective. 95% of the time they leave our map wheels when we cancel the voyage rather than waste time with it. One map, one island, one chest...Rep 40 riddles are just Rep 40 difficulty with Rep 1 rewards. X marks the spot is the only worthwhile map type for getting chests.

    Here is the 100% best and easiest way to fix it.

    • Each line of a Riddle should have a 25% chance (arbitrary) to have a "dig X paces N/S/E/W" on it. This will make shorter riddles easier to finish but with less chance of loot. Longer riddles will have more chances for extra chests and, reasonably, be harder to complete. Basically if we are doing a 5 line riddle it should have, at minimum, 2 chests. This is still harder than doing a 4 X island, but it will make it not a waste of time.

    This also ties into the idea that every skeleton should have a chance to drop a skull (at rates like 10/7/3/1%) - this is not the point of the thread I just think the solutions are comparable.
