Also why does everyone think that it's the PC players who are cheating? What let's them cheat and what stops Xbox players from cheating too?
@mudders73 If you want hard mode play on console against PC players. AND NO they are not better/more skilled players. They simply have more advanced tool to use. I personally hate the crossplay. I have both PC, Xbox One X and PS4 pro so I'm set either way but most of my friends play Xbox so thats why I spend most of my time on there and I mostly enjoy console. I mostly use PC to create mods for GTA and other games. For a game that was promoted as all about fair play it's very strange that it lets half of the player base prey on the other half. No I'm not saying PC players are invincible, I've beaten my fair share of them. It's just a shame being forced to play against players that's over powered. I'd go as far as to say a very good console player are on on par with a noob PC player when it comes to shooting. The sailing though isn't as unfair even though PC players can do things a lot faster on the ship.
In the end this Xbox Exclusive game is heading to PC Exclusive unless something is done.
ps. Isn't it strange that everyone that are against crossplay seem to be on Xbox, wonder why.......
@rattlybat795 Cross-play is an important feature of the game. It allows people to play together while not being on the same system. Why would they remove such a lucrative and important part to the game?

My assumption is based on numbers that i have (100% of my friends that i have played through the years no one cheated, and we talk about 50 players at least) yours is based on the assumption that because is possible "most" do.
I bought an xbox to my little son just to play SoT together, so no, they don't need to split the player base, just work and ban hard the eventually cheaters.
