So we went on a voyage and collected around 15 chests, we dug up a “Chest of Sorrow” and placed it on our ship as we continued to explore the island. Without giving away any spoilers, our ship sunk and all 16 chests started floating in the middle of the water column. NOT on the surface and NOT on the bottom (Which was Shallow) but some chests were descending at a slow rate. We swam up to the chests and could not pick them up! They were just floating, hallow, visual graphics at this point that you could not interact with. We were p****d off and decided to wait it out (Since we just lost 16 CHESTS!) and after about 10 minutes 3 of the chests touched the ocean floor. To our surprise we actually could pick them up.
CONCLUSION: Rare, your developers need to fix it so we can grab our chests free floating in the water, add a faster sink rate, or allow them to float to the top (I mean heck, they are WOOD!) The fact that I just lost 16 chests to the mighty Chest of Sorrow was kind of funny and a lesson learned... but a glitch is ultimately what made me rage quit tonight.
Fix your game.
Sincerely,
