Game desperately needs more content!

The worst part is Rare refuses to say anything.
And we can expect microtransactions and all that bs before we see any content.

That will be the last nail in the coffin for me at least.

Rare has a News post they update regurlarly. The fourth paragraph is this;
We hear the content question and understand why people are keen to see how we plan to move Sea of Thieves forward. Planning is ongoing on the next set of priorities right now, and we are adjusting our existing plans based on the feedback we've been seeing. We will have more to share on this soon.

There is also this youtube channel that talks about upcoming updates and issues.

Rare is not silent.

  This is just generic salty-player talking. Unless you have actual insider knowledge, in which case I'd like to see evidence.

  Have you ever played, say, Scrabble? or Monopoly? Or Team Fortress 2?
  Remember how you have no real goal (other than 'winning')? How you played the game for the game?

The last decade of gaming taught everyone you need to excell, grind, progress, be perfect and be among the Diamond-tier best players. Anything else is failure. You must be the first to finish the storyline (and post a youtube video of it).
What's lost in the wake of this way of gaming is actual gaming. It's not about the game, it's about the sport, the JOB of excelling.

I very much prefer to just relax, have some fun, and have a laugh with friends. And that's exactly what Sea of Thieves is for.

And what we were told during testing is that more content is on the way. You sound like a 6-year-old that demands candy RIGHT THIS INSTANT.
The mission statement from Rare is a multi-year path. I am not expecting new content after a week. Maybe not even after a month. That does not mean they won't come out with new content at all, which you imply.

Planning is ongoing on the next set of priorities right now, and we are adjusting our existing plans based on the feedback we've been seeing.

They are looking at player feedback to see what players want. A thread like this one couldn't be considered useful feedback, however something like this post is more likely to be considered by Rare. There are also several Mega Threads you can look through for suggestions on content additions.

More importantly however it has been only 2 weeks and a long weekend during that time since release. What content do you expect to be built, polished, QA Tested, compiled and released in that time?

Rare have said only a few days ago We will have more to share on this soon. in the there has been a long weekend in that time.
If Rare have not released more on the content situation in 2 weeks time, consider another thread like this, for now though, probably worthwhile to really think about what you asking for. Making content takes a bit longer than making lunch.

I was actually being quite serious. I applaud players who ransack the fortresses and steal the loot from others. That's all in the game.

But the only thing they say is "soon".

Tell us whats going on, whats beeing worked on, the ETA and so 4th.

They Fed ppl over with this shell of a game, they should make good.
