I just wanted to post this to hopefully get some positive comments and support and thanks to the Rare team. There is lots of negative floating around and it would be nice to crush some of it. Yes everyone has there own opinion and this is mine but I'm hoping other fans of the game will get behind this and not let our game be crushed by the whining, complaining nah sayers. So thank you Rare for such a great game for all the hard work and many hours that lots of people have put into this game! It is fantasticly fun and has given me and my daughter and friends lots of laughs and memories already! We talk about our adventures when we aren't playing and cant wait to get back online to make many more! Thank you again for a great game!
Some Positive Support For Rare And the Great Game SoT
Well it kind of makes sense. Most of the people who are enjoying the game are playing it instead of posting here. So it incorrectly appears that the majority of the community has a very negative opinion at first glance on these forums, when we don't really have any real data.
But yeah, please keep improving the game, it's a lot of fun!

Meh you are taking people's criticisms to personally. Of course this is a great game. However people bought the game with the sales pitch of it being an evolving and growing game. This will of course naturally lead to everyone expressing their opinions on how and what to improve to make the game better. Are some of the issues people bring up silly or overly negative? Sure thus is the nature of forums and the internet. But other people have brought up a ton of very much valid complaints and issues. The only really negative thing I keep seeing is people who seem to think that the only way to enjoy playing a game is the way they like it and acting as though any issue brought up is a lack of skill or a player getting salty for being sunk. I thought your post was a nice change but you just went passive aggressive to take a shot at people you don't agree with instead of just making a decent argument against things you don't agree with. Kind of c****y man.
@reddirtsquatchy It's a VERY compelling game! Beautiful graphics, fun sailing & adventuring. Almost addictive! Luckily it's "almost" or I'd lose my job.
(you're waiting for the ...but)I can't get anything done in an hour, and I only have 2-4 hours to play on the weekends. I get a quest, go do it, and usually get attacked or have to run or wait for someone to leave the outpost, and I can't save my progress. If I have to leave I've lost everything I did in that hour. During the week it's dinner, walking the dog, having to stop to help my wife with something or another. I either get killed by another pirate or kicked for not playing. That's just the way the bones crumble, they say.
Not complaining... just dealing with it. Like I said, it's a fun game.

It's actually a demonstrable effect that people who are upset about something are more likely to be vocal about it than those who are happy with it. Negative comments and perceptions have a stronger effect than positive ones, it's called negativity bias.

Yes, and I don't know why they really bother, just don't post or play if you don't like it.If you can't say anything constructive then don't say anything at all !
