Not sure whats going on but everytime we are going to Devil's Ridge to do the Skull Bounty Quest there are no skeletons at all, like no enemies, only time there are enemies if we sail by and they shoot at us with the cannon, we went through the whole island and nothing .
Devil's Ridge Skull Bounty Quest Bugged Out?
I don't think it
s a bug. I believe it works like this; when you activate the voyage the sceletons spawn on the island, the problem with that is that other crews might come by them, kill them and take the skulls (Ive done this myself). The problem with that is that you, the guy with the voyage waste your time on a voyage you cant complete.I was having the same issue yesterday. I got some skeletons to spawn at the very top of the island but after a wave or two they stopped spawning. How ever if you die and respawn the next couple waves will spawn also.
So what I did was kill the few skeletons at the very top. Jump to my death. Run back up and kill the next wave that spawned once everything reloaded. The captain finally spawned after doing that a few times.
Hope that helps.

Still an issue with Devils Ridge Skeleton spawns... forces you to abandon quests. Are we at least working on a fix?
Did you check the cave? Behind the waterfall? Entrance is hidden at the upper northern part.

They're inside the cave systems
Nope, we searched every cave for 45 minutes. Heard the music but no skeletons spawned. We searched the entire island and yes the music was strongest in the caves but there were no skeletons. We tried the sail away and come back trick, music was in the same spots but the mobs never spawned.
@morgueroth
I've seen that happen with the music in the cave. We had someone that found a skeleton stuck in the wall. We could walk by it and hear it making some racket, but we couldn't find it.
One of our crew started swinging her sword at the wall, eventually killed the skeleton and BOOM they started spawning again and that got us moving again.
Its not the best fix, but try to listen for the skeleton making noise and try to swing at the wall closest to the noise to see if you can kill it. Once you kill the mob it will move forward.
We also had success with taking an explosive barrel next to where we have heard the noise and blowing it up to kill the mob. That also resolved the issue for us.

Devils ridge has been bugged since day one, I often get it, no ships on the horizon, sail there and run around and nothing. Sometimes you get the music change but no skeletons, sometimes nothing at all.
I usually cancel it, but every few days ive gone there to check, still bugged.@frayedsanity87 said in Devil's Ridge Skull Bounty Quest Bugged Out?:

That's just it, we looked for that too. We never heard the skeleton noises, just the music. I tried attacking walls, floors, ceilings, boxes, and everything else i found. The skeletons just were not there or were so far in the mesh we couldn't damage them.
I don't think skeleton bounty waves spawn until you are at the bounty spot. The bounty spot never seems to move an can only be triggered by a crewmemer on the relevant voyage. Those are my observations. So I do not believe that other players can destroy the skeletons early.
So far I have seen skeletons inside rocks, presumably having spawned there. I only saw this because the tip of a cutlass popped out of one. I also think they specifically spawn on earth, never rocks. But it can be any earth. There is an island with a rock spire in the middle covered in earth that can only be accessed by running up the mast of a wrecked ship. The bounty wave spawn was up there, but some skeles spawned inside the rock. It took a long time to complete.
Generally when it seems broken to me, it just requires more thorough searching as the spawn locations seem to be randomly decided and can be awkward.
@s-v-e-j-e-d-a-n I also understand it to work this way. if someone took this quest b4 you go to it the music should not play... if you hear the music the skullys should be there... sometimes that are in a cave, other times it is BUGed :(.. It woudl be nice to get an update or warning if another crew got to it... its cool that got it but i shouldnt have to continue to the island and waste time...
@s-v-e-j-e-d-a-n Checked yesterday if it was still bugged, and to my surprise it wasn't and hasn't been since. So for those of you who, like me, have continuously been avoiding Devil's ridge bounties, it might for some be worthwile now to actually go to Devil's ridge.
